I think it's because we focus on the flaws when they pass the bar. Straight up unattractive girls are just unattractive and I personally don't even register them as potential partners, so it just doesn't matter. The worst is when everything is good, but one aspect is so bad that the whole becomes kinda bad, then she becomes hideous.
You should probably keep in mind that some things can be fixed, like puffy cheeks. Knowing that the flaw can be removed improves your perception a bit.

I think there's just been a lot of redpills and cope I went through that I just had to let run its course, unfortunately. My social life is basically non existent as I juggle school and work. With this in mind, once errands, meal prep, sleep, and gym time is factored in; there's just simply no time for dating and friendship. But this is just my life when school is in session. During the summer, it's really no trouble reconnecting with friends or getting a summer fling.
