Has Jow Forums taken the coldshowerpill yet?
I've been taking ice-cold showers for a few weeks now, and overall I feel much better
>relaxes muscles after workout
>calms you downs and makes you serene
>cold resistance burns calories
>smoother skin (girlfriend noticed it too)

Why aren't you taking cold showers yet???

>Raping endocrine system with cortisol first thing in the morning
>Constricting blood flow
>Not being able to open up my airways and clear out nasty phlegm
Sounds like a really enjoyable time, I'll stick to a hot morning shower retard

Showerlet

>it relaxes muscles
>contracts muscles
Are you trying to convince me about bullshit?

I just dont intentionally try to ruin the relaxing parts of my day. the gym is where I challenge myself not the fucking shower lmao

>wanting to relax instead of shaking off the morning grogginess
Almost as good as a cup of joe imo

[citation needed]

>detoxify
stopped reading there. How fucking stupid do you have to be to believe in 'detoxing', as if you know, you don't have a fucking organ that does that

How the fuck is a cold shower relaxing?

but warmth increases blood flow, which is what you want on your muscles so they can grow.
why do you think you ice your injuries?

>cooling yout congestion muscles
>losing all the gains

kek at you niggs

You aren't supposed to take cold showers after working out, it reduces inflammation which is needed for muscle growth, and causes a reduced rate of protein synthesis

Why not do both? Start hot and finish cold. Kind of like a shitty version of sauna/plunge pool.

Take a hot bath

Taking a warm shower and finishing with 5 minutes blasting all the way cold is the GOAT.
Still get to relax as warm water washes over you, still opening pores and cleaning them, still feeling crisp and clean after the cold part, still getting all of the benefits of cold showers.

I'm not groggy when I wake up

Taking cold showers after a workout kills your gains.

It relaxes your body, and stops it from making gains. Itll just make fat because its been soothed.

Your body needs to be under stress after a workout in order to make you go into muscle repair mode. Youve just been fucking your muscles up remember?

A cold shower in the morning is good though.

Muscles contracting is the opposite of relaxing them. Heat relaxes your muscles.

Not doing the following:
>get home after workout
>flex in the mirror until water gets warm
>enter shower once water is warm, get whole body wet, enjoy comfy warmth
>apply shampoo to whole body
>turn water icecold to wash off shampoo and manly soldier through cold (it's not as tough as it sounds, you get used to it)
>get all the benefits of both hot & cold shower

You're supposed to do them before your workouts.

>calms you downs and makes you serene
the exact opposite - it makes you alert
