It was only 5,000 cal but yea, film is retarded. He was kinda small at 195lbs being 6'2' so his BMR was about the standard 2,000 cal per day. It's a bit surprising he ONLY gained 24 pounds over the whole month. I would've expected a bit closer to 30.

this is what (((they))) didn't want you to know.
but the guy in OP and his gf/wife were vegan before filming that.

Imagine if he was lifting meanwhile, a recipe for success

Also his stupid vegan gf, keeps saying shit like "detox diet" "natural food healthy" "fats bad"

McDonalds is absolutely awful for you though

t. pleh who buys off the dollar menu

$8 sandwiches from McDonald’s are god tier bulk foods

>$8 at mcdonalds
What rhe fuck man. You could spend $2-$4 more and go to a local burger place and get something ten times better than McDonalds.

why are his nails painted?

A good portion of the population is too stupid to have any concept of what constitutes a healthy diet. This is because the average person cares too much about what feels good in the moment, so they disregard any future consequences. Businesses has taken advantage of this by providing shitty yet tasty food, to the extent of causing a national crisis. People were simply getting too fat, something had to be done.

Back in the 2000's, McDonalds represented the pinnacle of "feel good food". People had no issue consuming massive amounts of fast food, it all tasted too good. The film used McDonalds as a relatable example of why gluttony is bad. For a while, people pretended to care about eating right. There seemed to be some hope.

This brings us to the 2010's, the fat acceptance movement ushered in a new era of glutton apology. People no longer pretend they will change their disgustingly unhealthy lifestyles, they want you to change your perception of gluttony instead to avoid judgement.

Supersize Me was an effective marketing tactic for its time, its message is lost with the current generation.

>Mcdonalds
>God-tier
>Loading yourself up with transfat

......

learn who to quotepost, retard

Wasn't his message "what if I ate fast food bullshit 3 times a day" coupled with "try everything on the menu once"?

This way of eating is not uncommon in the USA. It's bizarre to me because my mom cooked all the time growing up, but I have friends and coworkers who don't think it is strange to have Starbucks for breakfast, Jack in the Box for lunch, and sushi from a noodle house for dinner. The daily bill doesn't bother them, and the expanding waistline doesn't bother them until summer rolls around again.

>and fuck corporations. They have entire divisions dedicated to finding scientific methods to addict your subconscious to their shitty products

Get that empty green shit out of here.

Quality post.
I’d have NO problem with McDonald’s if it were culturally perceived as candy, a sometimes treat: but people think of it as legit food and the company deliberately promotes it that way.

>195lb smal l at 6'2
americans

>weighing 195 with 2000kcal diet
Must suck to be a short fatty with bad genetics.
At that height you can eat 3500kcal a day and still be anorexic.

Wasn't there a documentary that found out his weight gain would be impossible unless he supersized at least one meal a day regardless if they asked? Then they tried asking for his food log but he wouldn't release it.

Probably Fat Head.

He was an alcoholic behind the scenes, yes, this has been common knowledge for a while.
Still, idiots shovelling shitty food into their kid's mouths isn't a fight you'll win with logic, because if that were the case the situation would never occur to begin with.

This, I believe one of the “rules” he had in the doc was that he would never order a supersized meal unless the person taking his order asked “would you like yo supersize that” (which they very often did). It showed that McDonald’s was actively encouraging the poor and uneducated into eating as unhealthily as possible at their restaurants.

I just noticed that too, WTF.

you eat mcdonalds everyday then tough guy, see how you do

>requiring almost half the food
>bad genetics
But for real, the daily recommended intake for calories is some kind of meme. It says 2000 kcal per day on every box here but at a smol 5'10'' and 150 lbs plus a moderately active lifestyle (4 hours of gym per week) I'm already at 2700 kcal per day.
All these recommendations are meant for old people, women, and numales. They should be ignored.

He literally says in the video....

Bit annoying when people who weren't even alive when the movie came out attack it based on what the world is currently like. McDonalds marketed their shit mainly to kids for years, McDonalds pretended that it's completely normal and okay to eat their super size meals that are nothing but fat and sugar several times a day, McDonalds didn't tell you that doing that amounts to 10000 calories a day. No one did. The movie was a hit exactly because it pointed out the simple fact that doing that leads to vast weight gain and health issues and not only did McDonalds attack him because they didn't want you to know that, they completely revamped their entire business because of the movie. The McDonalds that you have lived with for your whole life is the result of that movie.

These so much. I am eternally grateful to my parents for never getting me hooked on fast food because they were smart enough to realize McDonalds was just trying to get you to shove as much crap as possible down your gullet without giving a fuck what it did to you.

the point was, from i remember from watching this movie, that McDonalds (like any other fast food joint) can be bad for you if continuously shove their food down your gullet every day without being phisically active and/or taking into consideration your caloric needs.
McDonalds was pretty into advertising directly to children back when this was filmed, which is morally reprehensable. but that also comes down to parenting (i still remember that i wasn't allowed to eat fast food more than once a month when i was a kid).
