Because women want to make sure their uglier friends are hooked up with guys who are pushovers for forced relationships with undesirable women. I had this happen to me several times and it was always with the chicks who were well below average in looks and body or the ones with extreme diets and mental problems

I know some guys who have had female friends. They will essentially try to set them up with women they know whose personality is very similar to the guys' (which is a recipe for disaster). As well as that, typically they try to set up their ugly friends (while claiming that they are pretty), because they are the only ones willing to be set up like that.

Some women also treat men as tools, but for other purposes. If you do not want to be instrumentalised, do not instrumentalise others.
