>the year is 1998
>you're still in elementary school
>you get off the bus and run through the door and make a beeline for the living room
>you start up your N64 and grab the nearest cartridge
What game did you grab?
The year is 1998
Mario 64, babyyyyy.
Perfect Dark, no pun intended.
>the year is 1998
>you're still in elementary school
I was 13 in 1998.
goldeneye because im not a faggot
Pokemon stadium.

Nothing because I was 2

It was Banjo-Kazooie
LMAO I wasn't in elementary school yet
I think I was in middle pr freshman goldeneye senpai
I was 1 years old
The Zelda cartridge I "forgot" to return to Blockbuster
Oh dude lemme play!
What the fuck is a N64?
Donkey Kong 64
beat me to it. goat game
I was three but Ocarina of Time
My family was too poor for a N64. I had a Gameboy brick though, and around that time I got Pokemon Red as a gift.
Those were kino. I didn't really see much of them past the GC era honestly. There used to be game consoles in hospitals too for kids staying the night, not sure about now though.
>Star Fox 64
>Somehow not a furry
But honestly, Mario 64 sticks with me so much because there was once a terrible storm the day I played it for the first time.
The console that nobody else had. Only burgers appear nostalgic for this thing as it was a flop here with Playstation dominating the market.
Playstation's alternative?
the new game that everyone else is playing in 2019
Paper Mario probably.
Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire
Pokemon Stadium because my dad accidently bought that instead of pokemon snap. It was fun thought because I could connect my pokemon yellow version to the controller and play. He tried really hard to do nice things for me back then after the divorce. Maybe I should give him a call
>pokemon snap
This is impossible to play on an emulator and it makes me furious.
You can map controls to an xbox controller, I did that a few years ago
I had a ps1 so no
>no results
Nice. Never owned a ps1 but got this game from 10cents at garage sale and was one of the most memorable games I played.
Nah man, I had both an N64 and a Dreamcast growing up and all the other cool kids had them too.
Golden Eye
Take me back nigger
You got motherfuckers born in 1998 acting like the n64 is vintage or some shit lmao.
I grabbed nothing, because I was allowed 2 hours of video games a week, weekends only.
I didn't get to play video games seriously until I was able to buy my own in fucking high school.
This or Pokemon Snap
Mario 64, Star Fox or Diddy Kong Racing
Ahead of it's time.
Did not care for the Xbox sequel.
Kinda off topic but a lot of military enlistment facilities ( not recruiting stations) have game consoles
Depends on what part of 1998.
January 1998? Super Mario 64. We got the N64 for Christmas 1997 along with Mario Kart 64, Goldeneye, and SM64. I enjoyed all three games, but at 10 found Goldeneye a bit dry compared to SM64.
April or May 1998? Star Wars: Shadow of the Empire. I got that game for my older brother's 18th birthday and ended up enjoying it quite a bit more than he himself did.
Other potential games for '98 include Diddy Kong Racing and... uh... can't really remember if there were any others. I got Banjo-Kazooie and Ocarina of Time for Christmas, but those were more 1999 games for me.
Paper Mario was probably the best thing that ever happened for the N64, but it wasn't released in the US until 2001
I'm a 1987er that grew up on the NES and Atari 7800, and the 5th generation of consoles is the last one that I would consider vintage or retro. I understand those who would use 4th gen as the cutoff point instead, but the blocky polygonal graphics do feel very old to me.
ocarina of time no question
still play it to this day
Donkey Kong Country 2 for the SNES you richfag
