as long as you're within your calorie goal I dont see a problem here, doesnt really matter when you eat. I dont like going to bed hungry so I eat in the morning, at night and skip lunch.

Well, if you eat more at dinner when you're controlling what you eat you wont eat whatever you find later on a less structured way, which I assumed was the problem.

Yeah I get pretty predictable food cravings. It's a conscious effort, having to wrangle your way around them, but you know it's not like I ever look back the next day and think "boy I wish I just broke down and binged like I wanted to."

IDK there's people that fast with just snake juice. With a deficit of 500 calories a day you'll be losing around 1 lb of fat a week. I wouldn't recommend anything over 1000 but the real answer is whatever you can stick to, what really matters is compliance.

1st day in. Stayed under my caloric limit but ate two Totino's pizzas for dinner with Powerade Zero to drink. I have a bunch of junk I don't want to waste so I guess I'll be eating a mix of chicken and potato chips / other shit for the next month or two.
Too fat to get my weight on the scale, so can't post specs.

As long as you exercise and stay under your cal count it doesn't matter what you eat

because if you woe up at 7 or something then the same amount of time later you get hungry would be about dinner time. And unless you're a skele chad your body will tell you to eat way more than 500 calories a day.

Anyone got any tips to get trough the weekends without eating to much?
In the weeks i bike to work, work, bike home, and go to the gym, not much time to eat. But in the weekends im at home doing not so much, visit familie, watch netflix.

It seems like all my effort from the week are negated by one simple weekend of sitting at home.

If you don't consider 1600 calories a normal amount, you are have a fat mans eye for food. Given that you think your mother eats only 500 calories a day, this is likely true. Your claim that you're eating at/under 1600 and not losing weight also confirms this. You're not counting all your calories.

1600 calories is usually considered a low (but not very low) cal diet, for men.

Didn't really exercise today besides work, which is only kind of strenuous. Bought ice cream when I shouldn't have, since I know I'm going to eat it, already had a couple of bowls of it. Also ate some cookies at work.

I'll be alright though, I've gotten really good at maintaining over the years.

Either go for a specific bodyfat (below 15% at least) or just go by mirror, people only bother measuring weight as a vague indicator of progress or as motivation. Scale weight is just that, not something you should hold as gospel.

A pound of fat is 3500kcal, that's what you've got to burn. So if you're 30 pounds overweight (pretty optimistic for /fat/), you've got to burn about 105,000 kcal. Every small treat is just something you're going to have burn later. Adds up. Sets you back.

I'm probably just being impatient. I thought about cooking oils too so I don't use them unless it's deliberately, like I don't have anything to eat and make a BP coffee with coconut oil. It sounds like you're starting the way I did, and I can tell you that the attitude of "I'm shoving this nauseating shit in my mouth and now I don't even want to eat" is actually awesome for starting out. I lost 40 lbs in a little less than 3 months by doing that. Then I realized that I wasn't really strictly dieting and just not eating because it was too much of a chore to figure out what was keto, so I'm paying more attention to outright calories but eating the things I want to be eating, and while the progress is slower I'm also happier for it.
