this crazy old man at my gym. he doesn't know shit about lifting, he does half ROM bench press and curls in the squat rack every day. BUT THEN, he pulls out the ab wheel and does 3x20 standing ab rollouts every single day
Best ab exercise. Got abs after I started using it.
I have one of these but only used it once. Does it work? Should I start using it frequently?

I've tried this one the gym twice and finished with the feeling that I was putting more effort on the arms and shoulders when pushing forward. Odd feeling.
In short: never felts the usual burn I get in the abs after a session of 50 reps. on the floor.
I can do 20 rollouts on my knees but not even close to doing one of my feet, how do you progress?
You're doing it wrong. Don't engage hip drive, lock your arms, use heavier weight. Also round your back. Jeff has a good video somewhere.
For me at least they were the break though in my ab workout. Also if you want to lowkey impress normies and thots do the ab roller its an overlooked exercise because people can't get over the doms
I started working with these but I don't think I was doing it right so I stopped.
I didn't seem to be getting doms and I didn't seem to be making much in the way of getting further out. I was doing kneeling ones on and off a foot stool.
You slowly progress distance by doing them with a wall. You start close to it first and rollout until you touch wall. As time goes by your feet should be getting further from it.

Not sure if srs? Instead of rolling it out to empty space roll it to a wall, too ez? Take a few steps back? Still too ez? Take more steps back? Too hard? Move forward a bit...
ab rollers are the most based ab exercise and it doesn't just focus on upper abs and you can do obliques too anyone who just does crunches is monkey iq
Your form is shit, just like 90% of people doing ab rollouts
This and L sits are god tier core exercises. Most people avoid them because they are too hard. So yes do it, but lay shitloads of attention on good form
