Combat troops have been the strongest looking by far. I was in the Army 2001-2007. Deployed 2003- 2005 Iraq.

Not only was lifting common during our spare time, but steroids were as well. Even a few exotics like long acting Testosterones with Deca esters, some guys even had TRT Pellets they literally had under their skin. Figure 1 of those is good for 2 years of TRT, now imagine having 3 of them. That's like 300mg of test a week with no worry of missing a dose.

They didn't tend to use bodybuilding doses, just enough to give an edge. Heal faster, stay stronger, hold onto more water and stay hydrated better. It helped with soooo much.

No. I'm a reservist myself. A military career is a retarded choice if you just want to defend your country. You'll be able to defend it anyway, if there's a war. In timed of peace you'll be defending, quite literally, Israel and not your country. The world is a hopeless mess. We will never have independent militaries
