The higher the gauge the smaller the needle. Insulin pins are 29g (too small to inject oil with) and they look like a thick strand of hair

Don't inject with the same needle you draw with. Change the needle to a new one before pinning. Drawing from a vial dulls the needle.

18 is a spear my man. You'll ruin the gasket on your vial really quick like that. I use 23 for a draw and 25 for the pin never had any trouble.
