I think this perception lies in the fact that women constantly have to talk about themselves. One of my co-workers has started going to the gym. She only goes 3x a week and post a pic every. single. time. to Facebook. Won't shut up about her diet and the random shit she cuts out of it. Meanwhile I go to the gym 5 days a week and do OMAD but when anyone ask about how I lost weight I just say I switched from regular soda to diet.

That kid is going to be a great athlete one day, the intelligent look on his 4 year old face full of contempt for his weak mother just reeks of potential.

time for a literature review:

>here's where the memes start in comic 2. i feel like this isn't shoehorned in like you claim, there's a reason for the father and son to be chads, it leaves an impression for two of the main characters to be memes, with comic 1 we have no idea who the toddler is, it's rather forgettable. of course character development in a short comic strip isn't very easy to do but comic 2 did so without even trying by making it memes. and besides, chad is in comic 1 as well, the idea of having the dad cheering the kid on while also banging the chick from the author's previous work is rather funny. both kids are named chad jr as well so i feel as though we can't single out comic 2 for this

>this is where comic 1 trips up and where i personally find comic 2 completely overtakes it. the red m&m panel in 1 completely throws off the flow, it left posters in it's original thread confused as to what it was depicting. this is a cardinal sin on comic making, and again the virgin meme is there so why fault comic 2 over it. meanwhile we have the m&m rapist

>now this is where comic 1 ends. while comic 2's continuation of the story is questionable, i feel that it is executed rather well. i feel like the ragen chastain joke justifies the existence of the niggerwalk meme in the comic. the comic also takes it a step further by showing that the doctormom's encouraging of the fatty was intentional, which is a nice addition. also the m&m guy makes a return and i just find the facial expression of the m&m guy absolutely hilarious.
in conclusion, i personally enjoyed comic 2 more. while you can argue the memes were hamfisted, i think they were justified well enough to warrant inclusion. i feel like it has more staying power than comic 1, and when that guy asked for the comics i thought of 2 first. it just adds more to the original text than 1. personally it's my favourite comic thus far.
that's not to say comic 1 isn't a valuable addition to the /fph/ library, however. it continues the story from the author's earlier work and the original jokes hit harder. it is also a more faithful recreation of the original text.
to conclude totally, don't bash comics posted here. these threads deserve as much oc as they can get and to diminish some home grown work is to damage fph
