Internet bodybuilders claim deadlifting 200kg is easy, and that even women can do it

Lol this. Deadlift weights seem the most unrealistic. I see beginners everywhere saying they can easily deadlift 3 or 4pl8 which I almost never see irl

I'd say I have talent for DL.
PRs are:
DL: 6x 172.5 kg
SQ: 3x 122.5 kg
BP: 1x 80 kg
@BW 80 kg

200 on DL is not even my long term goal. I believe I could pull it this year. INB4 my bench is terrible and I'm wristlet with long thin arms.

>people wouldn’t lie about their weights or the time taken to get to them so others feel inferior about their own situations
Most of these weights are e-stats. The ones who actually have them, good on you. It’s an achievement to have high weights on your lifts.
To those who don’t: ignore it. The only numbers you need to focus on are your own. Make sure they’re going up, and you don’t have to worry about anything else.

Welcome to the Internet. Its the place where people claim and never deliver. You wont see many people benching 2 plates ever, but on the internet, everyone does it after 1 year of training and even goes beyond that very quickly whilst in the real world people struggle to even reach 3 plates in 10 years, if they ever reach it

A 200kg deadlift is easily achievable by any man within 2 years of starting to pick up a barbell.

Most /plg/ tripfaggots (so people who actually post their lifts) are disproportionate deadlift chads. E-statters who have no clue about lifting think that those proportions are normal and they inflate their E-deadlift numbers. Isley pulled like 220 when he was squatting 160, that shit is not normal

my friend is lifting since 1 1/2 years and deadlifts around 190kg so its not that hard to hit 200, he also not really focused on strength

depends how much you naturally weigh, somebody that weighs 130lbs is gonna take a lot longer to deadlift 200kg than somebody who's already 200lbs

i guess this friend would be of the fatstrong bodytype?

Just because you're not seeing it does not mean it is not happening, dipshit.

Hell, I pull 495 pounds and I've seen 725 pounds pulled in person too.

Ive done 215 for 1 rep max. And im on my 4th year of lifting. Most ive done is 185kgx6 or 7

Mfw 74kg BW and 158 kg 1rm deadlift

Been lifting on and off inconsistently for almost 3 years at this point

6'2 lifting for 2years
Ive deadlifted conventional 180kg for single after 5months of training from couch potato.

That being said i have great dl leverages with long arms and im really autistic about technique
Right now i can deadlift 220kg for reps sumo, i reduced my intensity on conventional deadlifts and do RDLs and squats for development instead, high intensity on sumo for carryover to 1rm

Works for me

I also deadlifted 220 when i squatted 160
Im here and i have really similar stats to isley (when he was at similar time invested lifting)
Except i have couch potato background and he was sportschad

Bodybuilders are lying cunts
>no I don't take steroids and waste 5 hours a day in the gym
>haha I just drink my pre-workout whey shake and workout 1 hour and eat some tuna after that
They're the people who'll tell you that they only do Wii Fit and zumba.

>haha yeah I can do a 5 hour workout and recover the next day
>must just have better genetics than you

There was a dude yesterday claiming 80kg bench press was the entry level bench press

People lie for their egos

I have never squatted 150 (highbar) and did a 200kg conventional, 207,5kg hack and a 220kg jefferson deadlift. I don't really bench anymore but I can press 70kg strict and have transitioned to olympic weightlifting since. Can still DL 200kg conventional but still can't squat 150kg. Had an injury fuck me up for a while and minimalist training doesn't work for me so it seems.

Snatched 75 and C&J 100kg in competition which really are bitch numbers.

80kgx5 on bench is like 4 months of lifting lmao

I'd kill to have a good deadlift or even a decent one. I squatted 170kg in a meet and I can only pull 180. Weirdest thing is I'm 6'3 with long arms

Eat more

I'll eat your mom's hairy pussy faggot

five bucks your setup is dogshit
watch chris duffin how to deadlift video

>4pl8 deadlift is good
How new are you?

You guys are fucking retarded. I'm skinny as fuck and can pull almost 6 pl8s. Just try harder for a long period of time faggots.

Attached: Deadlift 495x2.webm (720x1280, 2.87M)

why dont u sumo you schmuck

I'm messed around with it, but my form is absolutely disgusting. Conventional just feels better and they're equally strong for me.

Attached: Deadlift 560x1.webm (720x1280, 2.98M)

Your stance should be wider, and your setup is giga soft, zero tightness thats why your lockout is hot garbage

fix that and you pull 600lbs

Yeah, I know it was disgusting. That was actually my first time doing sumo in like 2+ years.

Anyways, this just helps support my argument against OP. 200kg deadlift is not good. It's very good if you're in your first year of lifting, but in the grand scheme of things, it's very weak.

DYELs are so hostile

There is a crazy strength variation between untrained guys. I worked as a mechanic and pulled 365 for 3 the first time i ever deadlifted. I know sedentary guys who started at 95 lbs. Took me 3 years to hit 6 plates from 375x3

idk im sorta gifted on dls and i had i think 190kg sumo dl for single like 10 months into training, then i decided to cut weight, which was disaster for my gains, had a snap accident, came out stronger out of it

Pulled 220kg in competiton shortly after

I think ill be able to pull 600lbs in a year or something

Going from 220 to 272.5 is going to take more than a year lmao

Sure it's easy to deadlift when youre 5'2" and only have to lift the bar a few inches off the ground

he is 6'0 or some shit

probably

But im optimistic because i know what i need to work on. Im squatting my dick off because i notice instant improvement in off the floor power when my squat goes up. And thats only thing i struggle with.

He's 5'11.5" manlet crown prince.

Iunno, there's this dyel fatty at my gym who deadlifts 190kg no problem.

Yes. There's tons of E-staters, and the few that don't are extreme gym-rat autists that are posting here for social interaction rofl.

This.
Don't be a retard like me and don't fuck up your back for a week because Jow Forums said you ought to be able to deadlift 4pl8s like it's nothing.

maybe its just me since I work construction and used to lift glass all the time but I literally hit 415lbs in about 4 months after I started trying deads. My hands are the issue though, even now without straps I get around 385 and I cant double overhand without it rolling out, and I honestly think doing mixed grip created an imbalance in my back which has lead to some pain.

Nobody at my gym deadlifts heavy, so there are only 3 guys who deadlift 4 or 5 plates

Stalin did nothing wrong.

>tfw lifting for six months and struggling with 50lbs bench
Help

Well that's a crazy dl to bench-squat ratio for sure. You might be able to pull 200 even now for one rep on a good day.

Eat more
Or pls b in London

>People lie about how much they lift on the internet
Any other shocking revelations?

As someone who does bench 2 plates for 12 this shit took me so fucking long, at minimum 4 years

Fuck dude that's sad. Have you considered rock collecting?

Damn dude you're muscles must be retarted.

Shoo larper

Looks exacrly like mine

Current lifts
110kg bench
230kg dl
170kg squat

I had a recurring shoulder injury, and started off weighing 130lbs, it took me almost 10 years to bench 225 for 10. There were several years I couldn't bench hardly at all. Went to a dozen different physiotherapists before I found one who showed me 2 goddamn exercises that completely fixed the problem.. Could've been benching 4 plates by now if I saw him sooner.

200kg is very doable for most people, just takes time to train up to that level. Took me near a year and a half from beginner.

Attached: x.jpg (720x540, 46K)

what are these exercises?

I eat plenty and am an american

I'm a fairly gifted deadlifter. I pulled 185kg after 9 months of training at 74 kg bodyweight. I've been lifting 4 years now and pull around 260 kg at 86 kg bodyweight. Stuff will slow down significantly unless you're just a genetic freak.

based

>2 years.
I went from being an untrained NEET with no legs do deadlifting 200kg on my first day. If you’re not pulling this weight at 12 you’re not a real man. The average male should be able to deadlift 200kg by their second trimester.

Even women can do it, what you have to understand is that the majority of gym goers either don't put that much effort into their training by which I mean that they don't really push themselves or they don't put that much effort into eating enough to grow/recover or both. This is compounded with the autistic focus people new to lifting have on perfect form and how they have too many influences telling them to not strain/struggle because they might hurt themselves and temporarily be in pain.

I'm feeling personally attacked right now

idk man it took me like, 3.5 months to get 142kg [315lb]

People don’t deadlift often IRL

it’s not that hard if you’re a 100kg+ dude
if you’re smaller and lighter it becomes much harder
if you’re a woman, a 200kg deadlift puts you somewhere between elite and international world record holder depending on your bodyweight - the world record in the 114lb (52kg) female weight class is 446lbs or ~202kg

double bodyweight is a good standard that’s achievable by anyone without spine problems or some shit

try hook grip
hurts like a bitch for a couple weeks, but if you’ve got tradie hands it probably won’t be so bad

Took me five years, DL being my best lift.

He's not saying it doesn't happen, he's just saying it doesn't happen as often as internet posts would have you believe.

Mirin, how heavy were/are you?

No they’re super smart, he can’t confuse them

It's a bit like internet dick pics. The freaks with 7"+ dicks get their cameras out quicker than you can say no homo and everyone else thinks they're tiny because the thread is full of top 2% penises.

Likewise with stats - people with good stats are going to post them at every opportunity because they're good stats. Mix in the bullshitters and you realise why what gets posted doesn't get seen IRL.

>have 280kg deadlift
>people think it's awesome
>I know it's shit

I benched 5pl8 on my first day, anything less means your a genetic dead end

>tfw stuck at 90kg bench since december
>doubled it since august
>ohp, incline bench, dl, chins all continued progressing nicely
Just can't seem to do that 2pl, or get a 5th rep out at current weight
To be fair i'm trying to cut

>7 inch
>top 2%
dicklets when will they learn

Can confirm. Not tripfag but sit in plg all day, have 280/616 dead, probably a 210/462 squat on a good day. Deadlift is best lift.

Do more volume. Don't cut. That'll be £50 please.

Imagine having to even set foot in a gym to hit a lmao5pl8 bench, fucking summer.

It's okay, what's your weight?

I did 220 when I was squatting 160.
If you're semi-serious about lifting (don't even need to run a program, I didn't) you should be hitting 1/2/3/4 within a year, or a year and a half of starting to lift.
The problem is that lazy, genetic trash don't put in the effort or train like retards.

You're the same weak faggot who can only bench with 30kg dumbbells. You're part of the reason why this board sucks, cos dyel faggots post despite knowing next to nothing about lifting. Why are you posting if you're so weak?

Pls be in London.

first part is redundant

I can only bench 66kg, and I've been at it for 4 years. Is that bad?

Literally 2 people including me in my gym can pull 5pl8+. Currently coaching one of the PTs to hit it, he's done 200 for 2 singles as current best. Why are normies such trash.

Well. Yes. It's pretty bad.

/thread

I can deadlift 205kg but cant ohp 1pl8 or bench 2 pl8 after 1.5 year JUST

~100kg

Then yeah, that's good. Don't get down on yourself. Unless you're planning on competing at a >local level in which case git gud.

Upper body lifts are gay, don't worry.

If you rarely see even a 3 plate deadlift then you must be going to an all-girls gym.

Hardly anyone e-stats on Jow Forums. There's no advantage due to anonymity. Furthermore, those with good stats are more likely to post their stats. DUUUUH.

Wont see anyone benching 2 plates? What kind of faggot gym do you go to?

This is very true.

Actually, that is normal.

This is true.

Bulking is part of gaining strength. If you can't bulk, then doing complain about being weak.

True. OP goes to a weak faggot gym or is coping hard.

Focusing on strength?

Due to inconsistent training. Pathetic number due to laziness.

You clearly have put thought into your training and probably train seriously. And you have been rewarded. Congratulations, you have triggered the weak faggots in this thread.

Circlejerking newfag dyels.

Nobody said it was entry level. It's beginner. Anything less than 1/2/3/4 is beginner. Forget your :intermediate" cope.

True.

Nice. Anybody who's semi-serious would never be happy with 4 plates.

Sumo is for cheating faggots.

Half of this faggot thread won't believe this but it's true.

Cope. People that are strong are somehow "extreme gym rat artists". lol.

True.

Pretty much same numbers ± a few pounds, and this is my body.

>just bulk 70lbs bro you won't just get fat bro

That's perfectly normal bench to squat/dl ratio

You aren't strong and you don't look strong. What was your point?

dude Im still shedding fat from giving up alcohol and weed and still have more abdominal definition than you. dafuq?!

Why would anybody need to pick up anything that is 200kg? That is autistic and only applicaple to sex with landwhales or other huge dudes who can also lift that much. Why would anybody ever need to lift that much? I swear to god "powerlifters" can be so autistic and gay sometimes. And kilograms? Nobody on earth even knows what a kilogram is so just say it in pounds.

If you can lift one 110 pound women under each arm then you have literally acheived peak functional strength and can progress no further. You are literally picking up 220 pounds of woman which is a lot more than 200 kg of whatever the hell you are picking up.

If you can pick up 440lb on a bar to waist height, it will be significantly easier to pick up a 110lb woman under each arm than if you couldn't. Deadlifting helps develop general strength and body awareness.

Your body is shit and your numbers are shit. You should be ashamed to show that disgusting body of yours

I just recently benched 2pl8 but I can't DL or squat much past 2pl8s yet.
Been serious and consistently going the last 6 months after years of inconsistent gym and not so strict routines. I went from 1pl8 bench starting to 2 in the last 6 months.
I'm starting to wonder if in the past when I wasnt as serious not doing deadlifts or squats is making my progress slower than bench which I used to do when I barely knew what deadlifts were.
