I fucked up and gained back about half the weight I had already cut for a judo competition and I now need to drop 9lbs in 8 days. Is going on a short term 500 calorie diet safe for a week? I don't want to pass out at work or during training but I need lose that weight.

high quality bait

You fucked up horribly. You'd have to compete after an 8 day fast and losing water weight

I'd skip the competition and prepare for the next one

Already paid 75 dollars that's not going to happen. For the record I get to weigh in the day before, giving me a day tor actually eat.

It's not I'm currently sitting at 154 and need to get down to 145

Have a fun week starving yourself because of $75 lmao

I was under the impression that people fasted on this board on a regular basis

According to Hajime no Ippo, my only experience with cutting weight, all you have to do is
>believe in the spirit of the Japanese people
>run a shitload
>sit in your room with a heater
>suck on dehydrated shiitake mushrooms

simple as

water loading and calorie deficit

based

Hajime no ippo also makes characters who weigh 125lbs fight like heavyweights. I'm not sure it's a great source

Just fast and refeed after the weight in, if you see a pair of days before the weighing that you aren't going to make it go balls to the wall and dry fast to further dehydrate yourself, but it isn't going to be nice

i did omad for a week out of need to save money and droped 5 pounds in a week with 0 exercise, im sure you can drop 9 pounds in a week with some exercise

Former wrestler here.
Fast until the day of weigh ins and do heavy HEAVY cardio with sweatpants and sweatshirt with the hood up. You can also spit into a cup to accelerate dehydration. One thing people used to do which is pretty dangerous would be to wear trash bags to force your body to sweat as much as possible to attempt to cool down the body while disallowing evaporation.

Good luck.

If you are this bad about your weight, you aren't a serious competitor and you wasted your money on a points tournament. You aren't going to win any matches and you won't make your national roster.

>154lbs

Shut the fuck up, cunt. You act like you are -100kg, or over where weight category actually matters and people constantly get injured.

I'm competing at 220lbs

I took bronze in my division last year fuck off

Weight category matters for small people too. Fighting people 20lbs heavier than you is an uphill battle regardless.ft

Don’t spend a whole week on 500 calories. Eat with a moderate calorie deficit and hydrate a ton until two days out and then eat about 500 calories for those two days and water cut the day before. You can lose about 10 lbs of water just fine.

Shut the fuck up, bitch. at 70kg you'll be fighting 66kg weight range up to 73kg. Don't cry here because you obviously don't have the heart, and clearly aren't made for Judo.

I hope you get throw with a tai otoshi and have all your ribs cracked.

And I hope you die of heart disease you fat fuck. I bet you can't put your socks on without warming up first.

Bet i'd still break you in half within 3 seconds of me hearing the words "Hajime", and shove that flimsy "bronze" medal you won at some garbage small local comp where all you had to do was fight only two DYELS to win.

Fight you faggots

No, honestly hes probably right. I don't know why I bother anymore.

Then suck his dick to show the little bitch you are

As they say, it's better to live one day as a lion, than 1000 years as a sheep. I'm the guy above, who also does Judo, on my second tournament i was placed up against a guy that was 130kg, and 6ft4. I am a 6ft 100kg male, orange belt at that time that went up against a blue.

All my friends were saying "Fuck he's fucking huge, you going to lose bro". I didn't say a word, and went into it with a hungry heart, out gripped him numerous times and ended up almost killing him with a harai goshi. Once you lost hope in yourself, all is lost.

hit the sauna cunt if you dont have access to a sauna put on a sweatshirt and do some roadwork

Put on some warm clothes and start running. My dad once had to do it to lose weight for a competition too, althogh he only had to lose 6lb. I'm not saying you'll make it, but you can at least try

Do this, you're nine pounds of and have a week. It also helps a ton weigh Ins are the night before. I've done a waterload before for JJ competition. also do a 24 hour fast before you weigh in, maybe hit up a sauna the night before as well. Just make sure you rehydrate properly. Good luck judo bro

Your body can only access so much fat at one time. I forget how much I think it's 30 kcal/lbs of body fat? Anyways you're fucked, learn from your mistake.

Tell the whole story. Was it a junior level tourney? Was it a kyu grade division? 66kg is a stacked division. If you took bronze at senior nationals, we could easily dox you (but don't worry, because you didn't)

Hell yeah. My natural weight is under 66kg. I never cut weight and always had to fight those big fuckers like OP who try to slip into a division they don't belong because they are afraid of guys their own size. I like the BJJ style weigh in where you step on the scale a few minutes before your first match.
