Who here /untrained/?
Symmetric Strength Thread
get yooted on
shoulders are novice though
What's up with your bench, compadre
It's because of the wide shouldered manlet genes
bench isnt fun to train
Yeah that's true
7 weeks in. I'm expecting to hit blue obliques and forearms tomorrow, assuming I hit my target weights.
pretty statisfied with progress so far. been doing SS to Stronglifts with accesoires for about 4,5 months now.

aAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Can't squat for shit at home
>tfw you use 2 chairs as squat rack
Build a squat rack out of wood.
>It's because of the wide shouldered manlet genes
Is this a thing? 5'8 here and my OHP is 60kg while I weight 70kg and other lifts are lacking in comparison (bench 80kg, squat 100kg). Needless to say my shoulders are quite wide too.
most novices start with ohp being their best lift because its the lightest in terms of absolute weight and the difference between a good ohp and a shit ohp is only like 20-30kg. as you get stronger your other lifts will progress much faster and leave ohp in the dust

Burgeoning rippletits t-rex mode
Nice lat genetics. As a latlet, I envy you.
Do front squats.
Pretty good lat genetics.
Only a few months into training, started at Auschwitz mode
starting strength t rex checking in.... what is the best way to get huge arms and pecs while doing bench and ohp 3x5 ??? I feel like I could fit some other arm and chest exercises in there.
also what's a good bodybuilding program to do after i achieve full teal man?
do SS until you stop progressing, but do curls superset with tricep extensions with an ez curl bar then do lateral raises superset with rear delt flys at the end of every session. should only take 10 mins
Would be good if I was a few months in but I'm 5 years in so it's shit tier
there is no way you would be this weak after 5 years unless your programming was literally retarded. what would keep you going back if you never saw progress like this
If I stop going back I would lose the progress I've made so far
dunno because no gym equipment
Lol benis
Pls post how much weight you lift
Outta my way dyels
Purple gang
A month and a half ago when I started I was full pink man
I only train 10 reps or more, and I'm full blue man. Is this reliable?
fuck im garbage at squats and diddies, at least my press is good for how long i've been training
11 months in, 155 lbs.
Based T-Rex
fuck bench
>tfw green and have never worked out in my life
or even left my chair
Welcome to my hell.
6'2", 180 lbs, working out for ~11 months, mostly machines, doing powerlifting for about 2 months now. Started off as skinnyfat with ~23% BF and I'm now at ~16-18% depending on how I measure.
I'm not gonna make it, am I?
fuck deadlift
That's nice for two months dude keep it up
bros will i make it based on this time frame and the progress?
>95lb 4x5 back squat when I started in april
>135lb 4x5 back squat now
Sucks being a benchlet.
btw would it be that hard to ask some more lifts?
my traps are juicy because i do a shitload of shrugs. why does it even estimate biceps and doesnt ask curls? and form isnt factored in anyway. ass-to-the-grass squats are way harder.
why doesnt it ask lat strength? why even program this whole body if you only ask 4 things??
slowly making it, lower body lagging behind a bit but doing squats 3x a week now
agreed
Well fuck me. I thought i was at least novice. Been training for 3 years

I'm untrained too, I'm trying to get everything blue, biceps are blue though
Been going to gym for a year on the 24th
Symmetric strength
Maybe like 4 months of me going to the gym and trying to eat more
>3 years of lifting
>still not full green
started lifting consistently since 2-3 months
How fit were you before lifting?
150 lbs 5'9" /tealguy/ checking in after about 5 months of SS
2 and 1/2 of SL, i'm 205 lb at 6'
I was torn between trying to lose 20 pounds or trying to increase my lifts. I went with lifts because i still feel good chonked out as long as i'm eating clean
>i figured out how to eat clean a month ago.
>pullups
Rippetoe be mad
oh yea, i add a bit for aesthetics, mostly high volume machine stuff after i do my big lifts.
I've been meeting the 5 pounds a session goal, I'm going to try getting 5x5 at 165 on my bench right now.
What's the best way to get my deadlift up, beyond "Just deadlift more?"
Also, does anyone else experience knee pain after deadlifting? It really exacerbates the arthritis in my right knee.
About this level
>tfw nearly graduated past purpleman
WHY AM I A CHESTLET
Seeing as how you're probably a beginner I would focus on more volume. Do your normal sets (whatever program you're on) then pick a lighter weight you can pump out another 5 sets of 5 reps or more. At the end of the day you really learn by doing the movement. Try to figure out what cues work best for you.
if you're a young guy, chest strength comes with age. You'll get big gains without effort once you're 25+
OHP is hard
>being a pushlet
should i train upper body more than lower if my upper body is behind? Currently doing U/L thinking of doing a PPL program with hypertrophy as focus over strenght
I'm 24 and I've only been lifting for a few months.
I had a very sedentary lifestyle growing up that was full of playing video games, so I hope I haven't missed my chance.
Haven't done legs in months
I love how lanklets don't get discriminated on this site and the average for tall people is lower.
anyway. I'm all purple man for now except for my chest, been lifting for 4 weeks now. Would be probably more blue, but I need to buy more plates for my deadlifts, because as it stands I can't progress beyond 60KGs. I'm using dumbbell plates for my barbell, but there's no more space there.
not bad I guess
