i mean, here in florida gators are farmed for meat, and as they have a better temperament than crocs, it would be easier to grow them for their (very lean) meat.

Alligator meat is great. It's like turkey but with a crab-like seafoody taste. Very lean.
I've tried kangaroo. It's nice but I regret it on the basis that kangaroos are just slightly too intelligent as creatures to eat. Like the idea of eating cats or dogs, there's something not right about it.
