>Sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium were in norm range at the beginning and the end of the fast. They remained stable despite a slight elevation in calcium and slight decrease in sodium levels. Enhanced natriuresis has been described in association with ketosuria in the first phase of fasting, diminishing when ammonium, a metabolite of kidney gluconeogenesis, replaces sodium as accompanying cation [43, 47]. We registered six cases of mild hyponatremia in the course of the fast, with the lowest sodium level of 127 mmol/L. They were all non-serious and were normalized by the administration of sodium chloride.

Water fasting with no supplementation is still the best way to fast.

I just went to the doctor on Friday and they flipped out. I drink 6L of water a day and they complained about me being dehydrated.

You fat idiot. Good luck weight lifting/working out intensely without adding electroyles in. Ask me how I know you sit at your computer all day and fast for days on end.

unironically post body

>consuming 0 calories when fasting
Enjoy your muscle atrophy

Unironically thinking this is

How to into lifting fasted? Do you refeed after your workout or how is the muscle repaired?

but it worked for me
i did about 25 72hr fasts in the past couple months, i feel way better with supplied electrolytes than without them
lost 25lbs while maintaning most strength and muskle size

your body needs salt to absorb water

It's for fat loss

No, cardio is for fat loss. Cole advocates for lifting fasted, yet he never says what you're supposed to do after.

Every third day refeed. Or so. Ask him not me. Should be around there somewhere.

Can one just contact him like that? I wish he went more into detail in his videos.

>with an optional portion of 20 g honey
>fruit or vegetable juice (250 ml)
>and a vegetable soup (250 ml)
>average total calorie intake of 200–250 kcal and 25–35 g of carbohydrates

These people did not fast.

He is posting in /fast/ pretty much every day. It's noticable because he keeps caling everyone retarded and fat pig.

I think that's just an user imitating him, I don't think Cole even knows what Jow Forums is.

He once posted picture of him here when someone said post body.

This, I wish you niggers would just read the fucking studies you post.

>IF YOU CONSUME ANYTHING DURING A "FAST" YOU ARE NOT FASTING. COFFEE BREAKS YOUR FAST. TEA BREAKS YOUR FAST.

I eat caffeine tablets 3 per day. 300mg of caffeine. Will this break my fast. I cant live without them i mean the hunger wont be stopped without them.

Maybe, just fucking maybe, you shouldn't drink more than 1L of water in one day. All you do is piss out everything you drink. I knew that Jow Forums is full of sub 80iq monkeys but I didn't know you could be stupid enough to drink 6L of water every day.

I dont know how stupid one has to be to believe that you need to drink "snake juice" while fasting. The complete fucking idea of fasting is to not intake anything but water but that seems to be too complex for Jow Forums

Yes, anything that is metabolized by your liver is breaking your fast.
>I cant live without them i mean the hunger wont be stopped without them.
Learn to endure you weak fuck

Do not listen to OP if you want to live. In fact - don't take any medical advise whatsoever online.
Reality is that when you're fasting and drinking nothing but water you risk destroying your cells much faster by drinking too much water. Water retention is very important when you're doing this.
That means that you should supplement fish oil and Potassium chloride (capsules).

Talk to your fucking doctor before doing a prolonged fast! Don't fall for meme bullshit that you find online, especially on this fucking Mongolian basket weaving forum.

No, caffeine is fine

But my fren. The snake juice is potassium and sodium mixed in the water. Also potassium capsules can give you ulcer.

>Also potassium capsules can give you ulcer.
Which is why you consult with your doctor before self-medicating. It's not rocket science.

No i mean why eat it in capsules when you can straight dump it into water and drink for whole day.

Personal preference. By popping the capsules I get the exact dosage every single time, and I don't have to worry about it for the rest of the day.
Other than that you're correct, it doesn't matter how you get it in you.

The one problem I have with the whole "blood tests show normal electrolyte levels during extended starvation" is that those minerals are readily detected in the urine during starvation. Yes, the pressure to retain them does increase reuptake minimizing losses through urine... it is still only a minimization, not an elimination.

If you're still urinating sodium and potassium, no matter how small, and your blood levels are remaining the same then those minerals are being pulled from somewhere. In this case we know it is from the bone stores.

And here is the issue I have with it. We do not know how long those stores last and how far those can be depleted before it adversely affects bone health, and we do not yet know how long it takes to replete these reserves upon refeeding.

One thing I do know is that Cole's suggested intakes are far too high. We do know the rate at which sodium loss occurs in urine during starvation and it sure as shit isn't 2.5g/day. The same with potassium and magnesium.

You want to know what the effects of too much "electrolytes" are? TOTAL RETARDATION, because every /fast/ and r/fasting brain dead moron just laughs about "hurr durr lol never trust a fart lmao, shitting your pants is perfectly normal"

cole advocates BREAKFAST and lifting later in the day

t. coping coffee addict

Ah yes as compared to consuming 300 calories or more while fasting

Cole has been posting in that fucking thread since the early 300's. He's shitting up /fast/ and ran off a couple good posters that I miss in there

You should try weaning yourself off. Caffeine has some effects that aren't particularly discussed much, such as circadian cycle disruption.

Im not saying to cut it completely out of your life now and forever. I just feel that it's good to periodically abstain just to give our shit a chance to achieve a natural homeostatic balance.

Reminder that water supplies do contain a good chunk of minerals (depending on where you live, most cities have fairly hard water), and being in ketosis enables your kidney's to go into super conservative mode by pissing out ammonia instead minerals. So basically, you're concentrating minerals in your body. In fact, if you're fasting, you'll probably have a healthier mineral profile than when eating because have an excess of any one mineral (most often sodium), means your kidney has to piss out everything else too, causing deficiency.

>you shouldn't drink more than 1L of water in one day
the fuck? that wouldn't be nearly enough for me.

>2019
>still going more than 1 hour without food except when sleeping
>not increasing UCP1 signalling and losing fat while eating 8000kcal a day
Seriously hope you guys don't do this

>maybe, just maybe

Well hello, reddit

will I get better results eating breakfast and training at non or just forget heavy lifting till I get abs?
I just want to reach 15ish % bf but not lose muh strength

Eat breakfast and stop working out until you fix your metabolism.

t.dead by 40 due to inflamation

>you don’t need em lol
>it’s not a big deal that your body consumes your own bones when you get deficient while fasting

>stop working out
why? metabolism is ok Im just a 25% bf pig not a 500lbs obese

Imagine not understanding that water has all those salts in it most of the time and thinking your body doesnt need them because of that.

The state of....
