>Track your calories and macros with MyFitnessPal or Cronometer. Works best on smartphones myfitnesspal.com (better for packaged food) cronometer.com (better for generic foods/micronutrients)
DO >count calories, all of them >calculate your TDEE at sedentary. It will save you a whole meal's worth of calories. >buy scales, be autistically accurate in your measurements >learn how to cook and start cooking your own healthy meals. lean protein and green vegetables >develop sustainable healthy lifestyle habits >eat a lot of protein (1g/lb of goal body weight) >cardio. learn to love walking >start lifting weights! fatties have the advantage that they can build muscle while cutting, especially as complete beginners! >post your height/weight/screenshot of MFP/Cronometer food log when asking for advice
DON'T >eat refined sugars, they're terrible for you regardless of calorie count >eat processed foods, or at least try to avoid if possible >drink your calories. alcohol, soda, hot chocolate, fancy starbucks shit. forget it >be a retard
the excesses of past week (in addition to food i'm supposed to eat): > 3x various desserts at work > 4x 90g tabs of chocolate > one uber eats order of a burger, cookies and cheesecake > 3 nights with 'a couple of drams' of bourbon > 2 bottles of white wine > 16 pieces of various fruit
MAINTAINING. i.e all i need to do is cut most if not all of this fucking excess shit.
Jayden Wilson
Wow. That's quite a lot.

Had to write a 15 page scientific assay (experimental protocol) over night. Ate some cookies to fule my brain. Step on the scale this morning and still lost 300 g since yesterday. I feel bad nonetheless. Those were my first cookies since January.
Aaron Morales

Bad things:

Reminder if you're not taking your weight loss seriously with Keto and fasting, you're not going to make it. Its scienfikly proven to the best way to loose weight.
Elijah Hall
>its the best way so that means its the only way
That all or nothing attitude is what got you fat in the first place bud.
Mason Bailey
I fast every day. In fact that's how my next meal got its name, "break-fast". Checkmate atheists.
Oliver Perry
>user's face when some other user eats keto or fasts
Yep, user's "science" is based on soccermoms and retards combined with scientists who are either biologists and not health and fitness people, or who are deliberately not giving participants advice to avoid interfering with the results.
Nobody cares about what works for normies because we're not fucking normies.
Julian Bell
Keto and fasting produce almost identical weight loss as any other calorie restriction diet, which is what they are, roundabout ways of restricting calorie intake.
>The peasants’ main food was a dark bread made out of rye grain. They ate a kind of stew called pottage made from the peas, beans and onions that they grew in their gardens. Their only sweet food was the berries, nuts and honey that they collected from the woods.
>Peasants did not eat much meat. Many kept a pig or two but could not often afford to kill one. They could hunt rabbits or hares but might be punished for this by their lord.
>The people of the middle ages not only consumed food that are very different from what we are accustomed to today, their habits of eating were also very different. Initially, only two meals were eaten every day by the people of the medieval ages. Breakfast, contrary to common belief, was not eaten right after one has awakened. Instead, several tasks and chores, such as collecting the eggs from the hens, were usually performed prior to breakfast. The breakfast usually consisted of soup and grain products, but rarely contained meat. Lunch was not served during the medieval ages, as one was expected to last the entire day solely on the breakfast. At the evening, after a day of handwork, the main meal would be served. The dinner would usually consist of soup, bread, and vegetables, followed by fish or meat.
>During the later stages of the medieval period, the habit of eating only two meals per day was abandoned. Gradually, people, especially peasants, began to eat three meals per day. Most historians believe that the change was to accommodate the increasingly intense amount of labour required during the day. During the Middle Ages, the peasants did not have the luxury of slaves to help in the farm, thus, was forced to exert more effort into the maintaining of the farm. Quickly, people realized that an additional meal was necessary to sustain their energy through the day, adding a meal during mid-day as a result.

WRONG WRONG WRONG. You have no studies to back up that DUMB claim. /fat/ has far too many people who are not willing to go on a diet but think they'll lose weight, its laughable.
Luke Garcia
>These always a clear difference in every example I've seen. think about that
Luke Hughes
No I'm just being ironically retarded But user, I lost 50lbs already
okay I'll spell it out for you try looking at examples that don't show a clear difference, see what you can learn
Dominic Ortiz
>far too many people who are not willing to go on a diet >calorie restriction isnt a diet ???
Carson Young
But I've already lost 18 kilos without touching your meme diets.
I just eat what I want when I'm hungry and stay away from lollies and soft drink.
Carter Russell
ketotards get triggered so fucking easily
Aiden Powell
Why do you think I was asking someone who claimed there was no difference for their source?
Sebastian Gray
There has never been a single valid study in which the same calorie difference led to different outcomes in losses of stored energy from the body based on diet composition
Parker Gutierrez
>people so riled up from last thread they can't even tell who is supporting what position but they're mad anyway
Isaac Turner
I wouldn't consider calorie restriction a diet. Is every thin person on a diet? "Calorie restriction" is just eating normally.
because you don't know seems the most logical reason
Alexander Bailey
>Yeah and I've lost 400lbs eating nothing but ice cream
That sounds a lot more like ketologic than the guy you're trying to make fun of >i lost 500lbs eating all the bacon and butter I wanted lo, sure I might now still be 300lbs but I became a powerlifter so its fine :)
Yeah calorie restriction ISNT a diet because 1. It doesnt work 2. its not a diet you can eat literally anything lol 3. its something made up by weight watchers and other companies to sell subscriptions to magaizes and apps 4. Zero proof by science that it works compared to massive overwhelming proof of keto and fasting 5. promotes yoyoing because you just eat crap food 6. calories are so simple that you can 'count' them 7. the body doesn't react well when you feed it crap calories so it holds fat 8. calories themselves arent real its a short hand for the macros a food has so counting them isnt good because they are not real you only need to pay attention macros which are real 9. if cal counting was real and worked nobody would be fat people are only fat because to lose weight you need to eat good food which you people dont want to do so you follow the meme of 'i can eat anything' on this ''''diet''' 10. nobody has ever shown science proof that calory counting is real everyone just lies and says 'oh i lost x pounds!' while keto and fasters have graphs backed by science wonder who is the real fakers hmmm?
Wow thanks, I had no idea about this. All of my previously made points are completely wrong!
Alexander Hall
>wiki >something that can be edited by anyone >P R O O F holy shit the level of cape with these people.

>science doesn't real bro >bro just 5kgs of pork-belly in a small eating window you'll lose weight 'cause magic >trust me there's this roided up guru called thomas de lauer who made a video about this once
Your mom is a thing that people have done for millions of years, and yet she's still a whale.

Well, at least you have the decency to admit it. Glad this user could share some knowledge with you.

>I ask a guy to see something >You tell me to go and look at the thing I'm asking to see, implying I haven't been trying to look at it Yes. One of us is very logical.

Just because you use greentext doesn't make what you're saying any more wronger than it is, retard.
Luke Scott
>8. calories themselves arent real A unit of measurement isn't real?
>take out an entire macronutrient >put yourself in a calorie deficit because of how little options you have to eat >lose weight >"KETO WORKS GUYYYZZZZ!!"
Fuck off
Hudson Green
Michael Jackson shit that popcorn out again and it's now located somewhere in the ocean
Tyler Sanders
>>put yourself in a calorie deficit nope no counting with keto, eat as much as you want so long as its good food, you enter ketosis and lose weight regardless retard
>eat as much as you want so long as its good food, you enter ketosis and lose weight regardless retard
Also wrong. Insulin isn't required for fat storage. You can gain weight with 0 insulin through Acylation Simulating Protein (ASP). The main driver of weight gain is a consistent energy surplus. Keto doesn't offer a metabolic advantage over other diets. References: >ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16685046 >ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/28074888 Now fuck off with your meme, unsustainable diet.
Aiden Green
on what topic?I am asking because I am also doing some research
Bentley Clark
In the actual image you posted in reply to, two separate groups were put on the same restriction, but one constantly and one intermittent and they got two different weight loss outcomes.. -weight loss efficiency in obese men: the MATADOR study
Also in another study, pic related, they found adjusting the timing of calories during a day, WITHOUT total calorie adjustment, changed weight loss outcomes. -Is the timing of caloric intake associated with variation in diet-induced thermogenesis and in the metabolic pattern? A randomized cross-over study.
So I think your statement of >There has never been a single valid study in which the same calorie difference led to different outcomes in losses of stored energy from the body based on diet composition Which is an extremely hard-lined "calories in calories out only" view can be very easily dismissed with the available evidence.
>Some guy makes a claim that a study has never shown weight loss difference between groups if they consume same calories >So I present one >Response is hurrdurr retarded Lol
Carter Wright
Okay I'm bored so I'm gonna destroy every point.
>1. It doesnt work It does work. me and million of people who've done it lost weight, gained muscle, and became fit. Evidence is most bros at the gym, people here and in bb.com and everywhere basically. >2. its not a diet you can eat literally anything lol this is where some people can give CICO a bad name. However by CICO while eating w/e you want will teach you a lot about food - and make you notice how much junk has tons of calories but doesn't fill you - so you'll naturally transition to healthy food >3. its something made up by weight watchers and other companies to sell subscriptions to magaizes and apps fair point but it's the same for fad diets to - that's marketing. >4. Zero proof by science that it works compared to massive overwhelming proof of keto and fasting yeah thermodynamics. Not saying keto doesn't work btw >5. promotes yoyoing because you just eat crap food see point 2 >6. calories are so simple that you can 'count' them yeah you just count em? >7. the body doesn't react well when you feed it crap calories so it holds fat true that's why you have macros and you should get enough proteins >8. calories themselves arent real its a short hand for the macros a food has so counting them isnt good because they are not real you only need to pay attention macros which are real they are real and are energy. >9. if cal counting was real and worked nobody would be fat people are only fat because to lose weight you need to eat good food which you people dont want to do so you follow the meme of 'i can eat anything' on this ''''diet''' see point 2 again >10. nobody has ever shown science proof that calory counting is real everyone just lies and says 'oh i lost x pounds!' while keto and fasters have graphs backed by science wonder who is the real fakers hmmm? I can show you my weight graph and pics if you want (I don't have good before ones sadly) again there are tons who lost weight like this.
>study shows people lose weight either way >this is what you're hanging on to to say CICO doesnt work at all
What's the logic behind this?

Camden Lopez
That doesnt really reply what I said. I'm saying you ketofags are claiming CICO doesnt work at all when you push keto and then your own studies show that people still lose weight no matter what. The fact that keto is more effective doesnt mean CICO doesnt work.
Joshua Diaz
>notice I've gained a few pounds >panic, start to watch what I'm eating and try to exercise more >get high, eat two tubes of pringles, half a pack of shortbreads and a massive curry with a bread to dip
