strenghtens legs and core like a motherfucker. Really helps prevent your upper body from dipping down during clinching and makes it so much easier to scoop up people with double leg takedowns. Also helps with a bunch of other stuff. One of the most valuable excercises IMO.

Powerful Lower body + CNS conditioning = more work capacity on all your other movements = more gains.

I was deadlifting 2 months ago and felt my muscles of my lower back getting pulled. It wasnt a sharp pain or anything.

I couldn't walk for 3 days.

Have I officially fucked myself up? I can do squats with no problem, but I am afraid of trying to deadlift again

If you rounded your back and it fucked you up for 3 days, you can't handle that weight. Take it from someone who has been there. Lower the weight, set your stance, lift slowly with the legs. If you feel yourself losing form, stop immediately.

No other lift fucks you up as quickly as a bad deadlift.

So glad I dropped leg days.
