Did they come in oil? Eating a lot more fat than you're used to can surprise your digestive system

Well they were fairly oily, but it wasn't 'Mackerel in sunflower oil' or anything.

It was John West's Mackerel in Thai sauce. Is it just a case of continuing to eat it and my body gets used to it? Or am I going to squeeze out 4 gallons of napalm each time?

I bought ten fucking tins because it was cheaper than the fresh stuff and I dont want to waste 8 tins.

>im buynig crap food and have the shits what do

idiot/

According to the internet, tinned fish has the same (sometimes better?) nutrition and freshness as it's fish counter counterpart.

Obviously my gut says otherwise but it according to science and fish-people, the tinned alternative should be just as good and should not be crap.

What's the nutritional numbers? I guarantee you it's higher in fat than the vacuum packed mackerel

Weirdly the vacuum packed one has more fat.
>pic related is the tin, I have two of these
Vaccum to follow

P = Protein
F = Fat
C = Carbs
Cal = Calories

Is this what you got?

john-west.co.uk/product-information/mackerel-fillets-in-thai-curry-sauce

Cause holy hell that's high in fat, it's over 65% fat and low in protein

Yeah that's crazy high in fat

Vacuum stats in picture
There is less carbs obviously because theres no sauce

I'm only interested in eating mackerel for its fat content.

Without mackerel I'm only getting 29g of fat a day

The vacuum fish is much lower in fat than the canned fish. That can cause your digestive system to react badly because you're not used to the high fat

Wow okay yeah you had issues because you're not used to fat at all. Give it a bit, like days, and it'll stop happening. You have to teach your body how to react to fat, because right now you're shitting a lot of it out

It's all good, keep eating your tins and you'll get your fat

In that case I get the feeling I probably shouldn't be nailing both cans in one sitting.

What's your preferred fat source? Tempted to switch over to nuts but they have even less protein.

Need roughly 174g of protein a day and without the mackers I'm down by 40g.

Fat content is too high. Add in more carbohydrates or protein to stop that from occurring again. It's that or add more fiber to slow your digestive system down. Both work.

Cheese is great, or peanut butter. Peanut butter might be best for you, because you also get the fiber that'll help regulate it for you

What's your daily calories? 174 isn't hard to get to with a protein shake and two or three meat meals

Why do you need your protein and fats to come from the same source? Have a handful of nuts and a protein shake

Top bloke, will try eating them with sweet potato

One thing to consider might be how canned fish is prepared. According to Wikipedia they're either deep fried or steamed before canning.

Polyunsaturated fatty acids have low smoke points, and will degrade at temperatures reached during frying or baking. And even though the omega 3's in fish are good for you, they're still pufas, and subject to thermal degradation.

Unfortunately I've never been able to find out how different fish canning companies prepare their fish.

I'm on 1743 at the moment which is low considering I'm not looking to cut rn.

I'm paranoid that whey protein is going to give me cancer so I only have two scoops a day.

I believe the ones I've been eating are pressure cooked in the can, as is the same for most tinned mackerel/sardines etc. Obviously I can't speak for other countries but in the UK, this seems to be the norm.

Don't be afraid of fattier cuts of meat too, chicken thighs, pork, and beef are perfectly fine if you're looking to up your fats

Also why so low? Or are you looking to eat more to gain weight? Just eat more ya skelly

Good idea. The beta-carotene in the sweet potato is absorbed better when fat is consumed alongside it.

I used to eat chicken thighs a lot for that reason, but I read somewhere that chicken fat is crazy bad for you or something I don't know. My life is a mess.

>Also why so low? Or are you looking to eat more to gain weight? Just eat more ya skelly
5'9 and 174lbs of muscle and flab, the last 3 months or so I've had no real goal so just maintaining until I can be arsed to figure out my next move.

Not the same guy, but what do you mean by your life is a mess?
Also cut.

That's bullshit, there's nothing wrong with chicken fat at all. The media and diet pushers love to call certain things good and bad for you, but it's largely bullshit. Eggs are fine, I eat 6 a day. Chicken fat is fine, people have eaten a lot of chicken fat every day through most of human history

Unless you're uncomfortable with how much fat you have now, I'd recommend a slow bulk. 200-300 calories over maintenance a day. You can make gains, but you won't get much fatter

Also please vote to try to save Cuck Island my distant Anglo Brother

>Not the same guy, but what do you mean by your life is a mess?
I'm just an autistic weird guy and I do weird shit
Thank you user I respect your input, think I might actually do a little bulk. The only thing thats put me off is it coming up to summer and the inevitable "user take your top off then you go to the gym all the time" and the disappointment when they realise I'm just a big pair of arms.

>Also please vote to try to save Cuck Island my distant Anglo Brother
I'm not 100% sure what this means but don't worry my guy I'm nationalist I got dis.

OP here, everyone in this thread has been a fucking legend and it was unexpectedly wholesome. You're all based and shitpilled.

If you're not very muscular right now, you're not gonna look good this summer either way. Cutting without muscles, unless you're dangerously obese, is pointless. You're cleaning away the dust without a painting to reveal underneath. Slow bulk, and cut next year or whenever you feel too fat

My man, protect your nation and your people

I wouldnt say im very muscular, but not complete shit either.

>inb4 shit tattoos
I know i know

Lol I was assuming you were new to lifting and had no muscle. Honestly you look pretty good, most non-lifters (especially women) would think you're really lean and muscular as you are now. You could either cut for the summer or lean bulk from here, it's all good

Keep killin' it

I enjoyed our discussion though goy, thanks for taking time out to help me.

But anyway lets talk Anglo DNA

Yeah, it's good to spread good vibes online sometimes

European genes must be defended. I hope you plan on having a large white family in the future. Our people is the greatest gift we will ever receive from our ancestors, and it's imperative that we make it even greater for our future children

you look good bro, maybe another couple weeks of cut, maintain through summer, then bulk hard af bruh
