Need help on improving deadlift: should I get a belt?

Also tips on healthy weight gaining snacks?

Attached: feelsbad.png (1085x803, 431K)

inb4 whats this etc

symmetricstrength.com

app is paid, site is free

personally using a trap bar really helped my form and let me increase my deadlift

I used to use a belt for some time when I was still doing SS. It helped me max out my beginner gains for squat and deadlift and I do feel it also helped me with ohp stability at the time. I've since stopped using it but I do think it was helpful but not exactly necessary.

squats and bench are perma-shit

>tfw my lifts at my bodyweight would make me an exceptional/elite female lifter
Should I take the trans pill to get some medals and lefty brownie points?

Attached: gender reassingment.jpg (926x955, 75K)

How do I increase my deadlift beyond "just deadlift more?"
Also, has anyone heard of deadlifts causing knee pain? Because whenever I do them it really exacerbates arthritis symptoms in my knees. Anything I can do about that?

Attached: Purple People Pooper.jpg (802x934, 74K)

Look at a couple of youtube videos about form and record yourself and see if you're doing anything wrong. If nothing helps, just switch to sumo or trap bar or get a coach but that's really expensive.

Just started about a month ago, my deadlifts are so trash. I've lifted before but while dealing with chronic Illness so it was all trash.

Whatever you're doing, you're progressing too slowly, likely due to a lack of recovery + bad programming.

I've been lifting again since January (so almost 6 months), after a 2.5 year hiatus. Granted, I bloatmaxxed hard and gained 20 kg and have some "muscle memory", but still.

My bench was lagging behind for awhile so I’ve been doing bench every other day, then alternating deadlifts and squats after each chest day. Mostly I stick to 5/3/1 or 5x5 but every so often I’ll do some fun workouts like 8x10 front squats on the minute 100 reps at 50% for time. Diet, I just eat clean for the most part. Sometimes I drink with friends but pretty rarely. I program accessories for the big 3, so weighted back extensions, dips, flys, lunges, and a lot of pull ups. That kind of stuff. Nice biceps tho

brehs.

Been lifting and eating properly for 4 weeks now.
Was fucking around and eating less before this.

OHP and Pull ups seems to be the issue. How do I improve them

for pullups do negs
its where you jump up to the top of the movement and then slowly lower yourself
keep doing that until you can do a pullup

Why won't you bench press user?

I went really light for my first lift in 6 years. Bench was especially TOO light, it was too easy, but I wanted to be careful.

5'9 165. I feel so painfully average bros. Average height, average weight, lifts aren't impressive even by normie standards. Just gotta keep working though. Next step full teal man.

Attached: 20190521_083230.jpg (532x946, 197K)

Bench/Squat/Deadlift, stopped doing heavy OHP for a month to bring my bench to intermediate.

I don't know why it's assuming lats are a major muscle in the bench press. My chin ups are proficient but I forgot how much I did last time.

>tfw you go at 5pm and you see the 230lb roiding boomers squatting 6pl8 for reps
>you're only intermediate because you're 155-160lbs
>feel weak as shit

Bench stalls quick if you don't gain weight.

where are all my all-yellows and reds at?
A few years ago you would get shit on for having light green.
Look at how y’all have slaughtered my board.

Just started lifting after 4 years of climbing and bodyweight.

150lbs

Attached: Screenshot_20190521-114240_Symmetric Strength.jpg (713x723, 149K)

I still have some green so I guess I dont count lol

Start by doing more reps, then add just a little bit and do the same amount.
You should have your mindset set right now, double the weight and do as much as you can

Thanks senpai

How long should healthy males 18/20's take to reach each color if training for strength? It says that it should take about a year to get to the first green but that seems slow to me

depends on many factors. I had orange squat and dead after less than 4 years, it says it should take "a lifetime" but I was an obsessed neet with nothing better to do than train lol

Damn, thanks for the idea, user

Weird. My stats are pretty similar except your deadlift is way ahead of mine.
How much deadlifting do you do in a week?

Just started lifting weights two weeks ago. Ready for blue man group in about a month

Attached: Screenshot_20190521-155755.jpg (1080x1990, 398K)

My rear delts are breaking me out of the green; but actually I think SymStr. just overestimates the pull-up.

Attached: A2244CE9-9E4B-4ECA-AD78-EFC4311309A7.png (750x1334, 1.23M)

I'm so close to being a teal man. I just need to add 10 pounds to my deadlift and OHP

Attached: 2019-05-21 16_24_35-Symmetric Strength.png (553x621, 263K)

Is there a way to calculate anything meaningfull out of my workouts? I only do Bodyweight and Dumbbells; so absolutely no idea what my front squat or Deadlift numbers are?!

I somehow did this in 3 months as a dyel boomer.

Attached: Annotation 2019-05-21 165008.jpg (793x977, 103K)

God's aesthetic taste. Noice lifts and noice genes my dude.

>lose all your muscle
Nope. You lose a lot, but you still have way more than you would if you lived all those years as a woman.

Weak legs, guessing your tech is pretty down tho. When I started I was FSing 200kg x 2 and cleaning only 140kg for singles, although I had some bad habits developed from auxiliary strength training for track

Huehue

At 59kg I match your deadlift for a set of 4, and I can squat 105 for 8 kek eat shit weak child

try lifting weights

post body

Never seen my man before. Looks better than I thought he would

i think i might work with you if you live in the kc area. mirin the gains

Pretty purple. Come on blue.

I'm about a month in after several years off due to injuries and bullshit

give me one more week, and I'll be green man. This is my promise to you, fellas. I'm gonna make it.
