Is coffee worth drinking? I drink 1-2 cup a day. I don't even know why anymore, maybe its because the high it gives me. I feel smart on it.

You need to pick yourself another image from google this one doesnt draw attention anymore

Try cocaine instead. That really makes me feel smart, too.

Honestly probably the best post this thread could produce.
Two step process to posting on Jow Forums: does my image catch attention, and does my post have atleast one contrarian opinion so I can bait people into actually giving good answers?

Yes, it kicks ass. There's nothing wrong with it and the only reason people here meme it as being bad is because they constantly need a new thing to be the boogieman so they don't have to admit their failure is their own fault.

>this
I drink it for a pick me up in the morning or when I'm tired of water. Obviously if you load it down with sugar and shit it's bad for you, but plain it's one of the best things you can drink.

I don't mind coffee, but I don't love it either. 1-2 cups pre-workout is awesome.

So instead of being bothered to make and drink coffee, I just ordered pic related from Amazon

I take 1 as part of my pre-workout stack

>inb4 anyone asks what my stack is:

In addition to above I take 2 200 mg EGCG extract, 2 100 mg 7 keto DHEA, 2 Gorilla Mind Smooth, and 1 Gorilla Mind Rush. I also had blood work done and was B-12 and D3 deficient so I take those as part of the pre-workout stack too.

>inb4 supplemets are shit/don't work/waste of money

Everything in my pre-stack actually has been clinically proven to be beneficial for mental clarity, focus, fat loss, and gains.

Personally it fucks my sleep and gives me anxiety, but also improves my focus massively. Feels conflicted.

It makes me shit consistently within the half-hour and being able to control the timing on that all day is pretty sweet

Fucking up sleep makes you tired so it remedies that too. It's a bad cycle to have.

Wow, thanks user. Just learned that coffee plants can live up to 200 years. That's pretty cool

Beyond the meme blogs, if you go straight to the studies, you'll see a reduction in mortality from just about every disease studied at 1-3 cups a day. At 4+ it's usually less of a reduction than 1-3 or it's an increase.

So yeah, best evidence says 1-2 cups probably is good. And it almost certainly doesn't hurt.

Does it matter if you drink instant vs brewed coffee?

After 3, the cups of coffee just taste like pure fucking acid.
1-3 isn't too much of boost. Life is a drag.

How can I learn to enjoy black coffee? Just force it down until I like it like with beer? I love coffee but only with cream and a sweetener like stevia

This is probably genetic: it fucks up my sleep, makes me anxious, and increases my blood pressure. It seems to be fine for 90% of people though.

>Just force it down until I like it like with beer?
Pretty much.

I put some vanilla-flavored whey protein powder in my coffee. There might be some issues with this, and it still doesn't taste great, but it works just fine for me.

I kicked it entirely a month ago.
Still drink tea and thinking of buying bulk powder caffeine to mix my own pre.
Still early and I miss it sometimes, but I do feel better.
Would readily use in a social situation (date, alternative to alcohol, etc)

Same way I started enjoying red wine

fuck i'm jealous. currently drinking water spiked with magnesium citrate just to get a semi-shit moving
fresh-ground tastes infinitely better than stuff that's already ground, or any of the Keurig stuff. it makes a huge difference. try that with just a splash of unsweetened vanilla almond milk (has a little more flavor than regular milk) and eventually ween down to black if you want
