Is there anyone with a good deadlift that hasn't injured themselves? such a dumb lift
Lol lift less weight, people only hurt themselves due to gym ego
I was deadlifting 445, now I cant even do 225 without it hurting.
This desu, deadlift isn’t worth the risk

Thank you
So never try max out DL?
Get an inversion table and hang upside down twice a day. It will hurt but I did it and my back is fine even though I dont hit max DL or SQ anymore
It isnt worth going over 4 plates on anything just to prove you're strong enough
Theres some good YouTube channels out there for back pain and stretches
It will hurt but it doesnt matter. Ease into stretching the back
If your hip or hamstring start straining than go see a doc.
Where can I get an inversion table? Ive heard good things about them. Thanks user.
This does help, also OP at worst just find something you can do instead that works the same muscle group, or at best its just like starting over and it may take a while to build up, just like when you started
craigslist, amazon, use google you dumbass
I was just asking you nigger
Wdym by snapped? You slipped your disc??
Its totally worth it. Its simply the one lift you cannot do if you're low energy, shit form or ego lifting. If you dead-lift safely and properly you can easily do the thing until you're dead.
what if you already have back problems? is it worth the risk?
Next time don't lift with bad form faggot
Deadlifting corrects 90% of back problems when done correctly, it's one of the best things you can do for your posture, it's just commonly done incorrectly.
warm up with some back extensions, barbell rows, and leg presses, 3-5 sets of 20 reps with a weight you could do for 30. This just gets the blood flowing but helps a lot of people that are injury prone.
How dumb do you have to be to deadlift in 2019?
Agreeing with both sides here. Deads are too good to pass up I.M.O.
But it's not the lift for pushing your limits by maxing or chest reps
Focus on form, controlling the weight etc.
If you ego lift for them you risk too much. ISOs are for the burnout sets or giving a little swing just to expose yourself something heavier as a shock.

Don’t worry bro, I’ll deadlift for you. :)
I deserve what's happened, but I still want to make it.
Ok add 445 lbs to what you usually do. Thanks user.
McGill big 3
Back injuries take the longest to heal. My back was fucked on and off for years (was lifting a washing machine and the other guy let it slip out of his hands, dumbass as i am, i tried to 'cushion its fall' because i didn't want the floors to get dented) , and it'll always be prone to getting fucked up easily, just be extra carefull from now on.
I've come to the conclusion that compound lifts might be a meme. Seriously, the guys I see doing them are either noobs, dyals, even the guys doing them heavy don't even look good. Why is this?
No one has ever snapped with a hex bar.
I used deadlift to rehab my back after fucking it doing rack pulls. My max is 210kg
this.
Just use a trap bar
> Inb4 REEEE not the EXACT same muscles and other stupid negligible bullshit
Unless you fucking lift competitively most people should prioritize or only use a trap bar to deadlift.
How the fuck do you injure yourself deadlifting?
I deadlift 5pl8 and never once had a problem what injuries do you faggots even get?
As the annon suggested, do back exercises to rebuild the back before going into the lift. Once you've got some meat there, go light into it, go primarily for control and start working up from that. No ego lifting, no excessive weight, lift only when you feel you can do the lift properly. Low energy days when I can't get control, I simply don't do the lift.
Back in college when there wasn't a pluthera of online materials for lifts I was essentially rounding my back and did pull my back out for 3 days. That has never happened again thanks to Athlean-X, ScottHerman Fitness, Allan Thrall, etc
For younger kids, if they're watch faggy "fitness influencers", then unfortunately the possibility is higher they'll hit snap city or practice shit form.
