Yeah it is that high in the US. Most US cities are not really designed for cyclists and have bike lanes that are poorly delineated to non-existent. Bikes are riding with cars, and so few people ride bikes lots of drivers aren't used to them

yeah I'm from europe. In some cities here it makes more sense to have a bike than own a car. London is one of them for example. Most major cities are the same.
Motorbikes are fast, arguably faster than bicycles BUT the cost, maintenance and safety risk all make it a way less intelligent purchase.
