Spent a few weeks in Europe this and last month, traveling in France, Germany, Italy, and the Balkans. Kept up with my training by visiting the gyms closest to wherever I was staying. Some things I noticed about Euro gyms:
-generally dirty as fuck -unorganized, plates and weights all over the place -equipment often mismatched -most of the equipment is in dire need of maintenance -usually lack water fountains, have to buy bottled water at the front desk or fill up from the sink in the bathroom -equipment feels flimsy and like it was designed with people under 6' in mind -Euros in general are weak as fuck; in the four weeks I spent abroad, I witnessed maybe 6 people benching 2pl8 or higher, and nobody even came close to a 1pl8 OHP -annoying fucking trance/europop music blasting 24/7
The only good things about them is that the metric system makes a lot more sense than whatever the fuck we use in the USA, and the gyms overall had a lot less casuals (DYELs, normalfags, old fucks, etc) than you see around here.
Maybe if you didn't visit the shithole countries you'd see better gyms
Jaxson Wright
Europe sucks in general, the only thing they got on us is healthcare and other government benefits such as a mandatory amount of vacation time, cheaper colleges, and paid parental leave.
Christian Green
Can confirm. Only people lifting heavy in Europe are the Muslims.
Sebastian Bennett
> lack water fountains >have to buy bottled water at the front desk or fill up from the sink in the bathroom
UNACCEPTABLE!
Justin Russell
>Europe sucks in general
They have lower discretionary income, for instance
> the only thing they got on us is healthcare and other government benefits such as a mandatory amount of vacation time, cheaper colleges, and paid parental leave.
Study some econonics, friend
David Ward
Because the gym is ultimately a symbol of wealth and excess. We got the luxury of time to work out and care about our fitness spaces.
Asher Campbell
>Euros in general are weak as fuck; in the four weeks I spent abroad, I witnessed maybe 6 people benching 2pl8 or higher, and nobody even came close to a 1pl8 OHP >gyms overall had a lot less casuals (DYELs, normalfags, old fucks, etc) than you see around here.
well which one is it retard?
James King
Never been to any in those countries but gyms here in northern europe are nice as fuck.
My only complaints are that they're usually low on free weights with way too many useless machines. Also the lack of water fountains is real.
You're right about the music too. It absolutely SUCKS. Only time it was good when during some time I used to go between 8-10pm when there wasn't a lot of people and a dude working there would blast 90's hiphop (think the music you hear in Ronnie Coleman
Juan Martin
My gym has one song on repeat for a month: OOOH AIIMMMM SWEEET BUT A PSYCHOOO NA NA NA PSYCHOOOOO NA NA NA WHERE DO I GO NA NA NA PSYCHOOOO
Joshua Adams
Nice try mutt.
Jacob Stewart
Kek me 2
Jace Richardson
Had to listen to search it up on youtube to know what you mean. YES YES FUCK YES that fucking song man holy shit. All the fucking time. I feel so sorry for people that don't have headphones in the gym
Easton Lee
OP clearly has never been to the UK, where we have the best gyms. NB4 muslims, they don't come to the gyms because it's haram or something.
Cooper Smith
Scandinavia blows the US out of the water in pretty much all aspects except your jew army.
Thomas Perez
The gyms in Finland are nice and tidy with lots of free weights. In the north the gyms are comfy and you can just choose the radiostation you want to listen to because the gym isn't too crowded and nobody cares
>-generally dirty as fuck >-unorganized, plates and weights all over the place >-equipment often mismatched >-most of the equipment is in dire need of maintenance >-usually lack water fountains, have to buy bottled water at the front desk or fill up from the sink in the bathroom >-equipment feels flimsy and like it was designed with people under 6' in mind >-Euros in general are weak as fuck; in the four weeks I spent abroad, I witnessed maybe 6 people benching 2pl8 or higher, and nobody even came close to a 1pl8 OHP >-annoying fucking trance/europop music blasting 24/7 None of that is true for Germany except the water thing. Amerimanlets are also a good bit shorter than middle and northern europeans even with shitskins dragging the statistics down. Kys, nigger.
Thomas Bailey
ITT murican mutts sucking their own cocks.
Brayden Torres
How many saunas do the gyms have?
Jeremiah Jackson
>We got the luxury of time to work out and care about our fitness spaces. America has the least vacation days in the west, user.
James Peterson
Europe has gyms?
Henry Diaz
probably more than the US since it has almost twice as many citizens.
Colton Lopez
I was over in Russia, worked out in a great gym. Бyдy paд eщё тaм пoтpeниpoвaтьcя этим лeтoм.
/thread. I lived in holland for years and the difference between the basic shit gyms and middle range ones is staggering. Also >generalising europe, a continent That's like comparing baltimore to manhattan
Adam Russell
in wich countries people are the strongest and wich countries people are the weakest ?
Camden Gutierrez
Come to an Icelandic gym, the tourist always talk about how great our gyms are
Jacob Edwards
I had a 6 month stay in Sweden last winter and nothing you mentioned was observed there. Though, people generally were not as strong as in Canada where I live.
Jordan Powell
canada quebec there are strong mofos
Ayden Bennett
I used to train in a small powerlifting gym in Ukraine for some time and it was GOAT (free chalk, free belts, boomer music, almost no casuals besides several girlfriends of the regulars and a couple of high schoolers) I miss it, soulless chain gym I'm training at over here in Canada sucks ass, at least it has plenty of squat racks and benches.
Justin Diaz
i want to train in the bloatlord gym in greece
imagine the testosterone boost from his smell. id sniff his bench between sets
Tyler Nelson
Eurofags and Eurofag dickriders ITT absolutely boiling over getting called out for their shitty gyms.
Noah Gonzalez
Yeah I'd rather not pay 55% income tax so refugees can rape little girls. 25% is bad enough keeping the minority reproductive machine pumping in burgerland
Wyatt Carter
its crazy how many little girls and boys are getting pwned by these freaks, they ruinin lifes
Kayden Peterson
I go to a very old gym in spicland (chile) we barely have machines, only free weights and I think it's for the best, I noticed that people here take care of the equipment because if something breaks, it means that you have to wait a week until someone repairs it. also I have the option of moving to a big chain with nice equipment but I feel like it's a scam since 90% of the gym machines are treadmills
There are more nonwhites in the us, %-wise, than im europe.
Maybe you should pay more taxes
Logan Morris
yeap, when I was visiting my home country, I was about to kill myself. Thank the gods I am back, and I love this country!!!
Eli Reyes
>lumping France, Italy and Germany together with the Balkans would you review the USA, Canada and Mexico together as well because they're on the same continent? Fucking retard.
Charles Baker
American living in Germnay here and can confirm the no water fountain part. Super annoying I have to slug my water bottle around with me while I work out. Also too many middle Eastern frauds in my gym. I thought I was moving to a white country :^(
Matthew Carter
lmao
Jason Butler
>believing Jow Forums propaganda
must be hard never leaving your hometown
Colton Long
i'm visiting north america right now and it's pretty shit. right outside my hotel there are groups of drunk guys with donkeys painted to look like zebras trying to trick tourists into pictures with the "zebra" and i've had diarrhea the whole time i've been here. not sure why americans say this "North America" place is so great.
Colton Brown
>visiting mexico which is unironically a third world country
Found your issue, friend
Luis Williams
In europe the water fountain and sink give you the same water, so why would you need both? Tapwater is also drinkable here.
Ethan Nelson
I'm from eastern Europe and I can confirm; gyms fucking suck here, BUT not the way OP faggot tells you.
I hate our gyms cuz they're all filled up with all those fancy machines and treadmills and what not, basically a normies paradise.
I spent quite a lot of time to find a basement gym where you can smell some powerbloats farts, all equipment is from stone age and you see those golden era Arnold posters all over the place.
You must be retarded if you put modern gym over basement gym.
Anthony Nelson
>-Euros in general are weak as fuck; in the four weeks I spent abroad, I witnessed maybe 6 people benching 2pl8 or higher, and nobody even came close to a 1pl8 OHP Talking shit without posting body is unironically laughable
i get why you would use rocks for weights if you had no other choice but its really counterproductive since the whole point of lifting is to be able to eventually lift more in the future, cant really do that with those weights
Jackson Gray
Slav here, the only thing my gym really misses is a hex bar. Also there's no water fountain but in 5 meters away from the gym entrance there's a water selling machine I fill my bottle in for like 10 cents.
generally dirty as fuck Not in Ireland -unorganized, plates and weights all over the place. You went to normie gyms -equipment often mismatched what does this even mean? -most of the equipment is in dire need of maintenance again you went to shitty gyms -usually lack water fountains, have to buy bottled water at the front desk or fill up from the sink in the bathroom. Might be right on this but not in any gyms I've been to. Also not an issue for me anyway do I don't care -equipment feels flimsy and like it was designed with people under 6' in mind. Not in Ireland -Euros in general are weak as fuck; in the four weeks I spent abroad, I witnessed maybe 6 people benching 2pl8 or higher, and nobody even came close to a 1pl8 OHP. Most people don't OHP. I'd say Americans are better benchers in general. -annoying fucking trance/europop music blasting 24/7 not in Ireland
Isaac Brown
I'm sure you went to the best gyms you can find and not the cheapest ones in the area...
David Robinson
Glad to hear things are as shite on the continent as in Britbongistan. I live in the London suburbs and the closest gym is a rundown shithole twenty minutes away. It was even worse at university, the gym there was so poorly organised that the only two benches overlapped.
Luke Miller
Well, brugerland has basically no healthcare and the negros there still mass rape 24/7 so whats your point?
Kevin Perez
>Spent a few weeks in Europe... >*look at pic* thanks for the laugh. didnt read the rest
Could you share exactly what gyms you went to, at least in Italy? > -generally dirty as fuck Depends on the gym. The one I currently go to is fine, while the previous one often had no soap in the bathroom. I found that it mostly depends on how much you pay. > -unorganized, plates and weights all over the place False, at least where I've been. Sometimes there's the retard who doesn't put his plates back in their place > -equipment often mismatched What do you mean? > -most of the equipment is in dire need of maintenance I guess it depends on the gym, the one I currently attend doesn't have any broken stuff > -usually lack water fountains, have to buy bottled water at the front desk or fill up from the sink in the bathroom True, but I wouldn't want to drink from where everybody does, I bring my water from home > -equipment feels flimsy and like it was designed with people under 6' in mind How? > -Euros in general are weak as fuck; in the four weeks I spent abroad, I witnessed maybe 6 people benching 2pl8 or higher, and nobody even came close to a 1pl8 OHP This depends on the gym, it's generally true because most gyms are shit and have shitty equipment, people who go there don't care much about lifting heavy and just use machines > -annoying fucking trance/europop music blasting 24/7 False
Carter Morgan
>Germany >White Thanks again for "winning" the war.
Evan Davis
Yeah. Also the gyms close by to my area (live in eastern germany) are full of roiders and nattys who mog thie shit out of everyone on this board. Barely any manlets in those gyms too.
Austin Stewart
total bullshit, they usually have buff upper bodies, chicken legs and no real strength and 90% of them fraud and still manage to be weaker than high school athletes
Owen Wright
Poland and everything except people being weak, and eq made for manlets matches
Eli Jones
Stop going to McFit
Kevin Williams
Visited Kiev, they had a based outdoor gym with chained concrete and random metal parts to act as weights. It looks like there was a plane crash, and everything got converted into weights.
Imagine being to lazy to walk to a sink for water.. Fucking yanks
Robert Hughes
The gym I go to in Ireland is owned by a based Latvian fella, its probably the best gym around, others are normie tier and full of gypos.
Jose King
My only problem here in Germany; I have like 5 gyms near me in a relatively small city, but they're just beyond retarded expensive. I think the cheapest is 30€ per month with a 24 month contract and 100€ initiation fee. I don't want your fucking sauna, ass-x super program and all the other Zumba bullshit, I just want to lift and leave.
Zachary Cruz
>Probably visited the cheaper gyms because travelling >Surprised gyms full of subhumans and poor people are run down and chaotic
>30€ per month and 100€ initiation fee thats a perfectly reasonable price, to use all the shit they have t. fellow inhabitant of germanistan
Gabriel Peterson
Post body faggot
Luis Gutierrez
Elaborate
Liam Robinson
Honestly, man. If you're in a 5 star, the hotel gym is often a better place to go than the local BasicFit or whatever.
Jaxon Evans
Classic communist contraptions. I'm in Vietnam and there's an old guy nearby who set up a pull up bar and a set of parallel bars right on a sidewalk so that people can just come and workout.
Tyler Ortiz
>Goes to a country where most of the World is migrating to >Thinks it's white
Aiden Wood
How do you live in Germany and still complain about 30 euros?
Asher Hernandez
How do you get buff upper bodies without being strong? Average Muslim is wayyy fitter than the average German, can't talk about other countries
Nicholas Young
I'm from Germany and it totally depends on the gym chain, price range etc.
I go to John Reed and it's a fitness music club. Trendy loud music, can be annoying but it's cool stuff in general. But it's true about leaving the weights all over there and it's full of roided muslims yeah but not only. Some very cool and trendy people too because capital.
Water fountain, you mean special ones made to fill bottles? Would be smart.
Cameron Gray
McFit or 20€ gyms in a bigger city (read: full of non-germans) in general.
everything 30/40/€ and above is clean and nice.
Tyler Richardson
I go to the same gym but in an other country, pretty decent gym imo, suprisingly they fix machines immediately which i havent seen anywhere else and they check the equipment multiple times a day.
Nathan Lee
All of Croatia, and select parts of Serbia, Bulgaria, and Macedonia are unironically FAR better than even the "best" of Shitmany and Shartance. Italy is based tho.
Jonathan Morgan
You're not a German if you're not complaining about everything, ver normal over here.
But yeah 30€ is okay for everything they offer, but I don't like the 24 month contract and I only want to use 1/6 of all the stuff in that contract. So I'll stick to my Dumbbells and never gonna make it.
Connor King
rent some space put in only squat racks benches dumbbells all kind of bars and accessories
get all the bro-tier lifters in one good place
Jose Stewart
You should try to find a local weightlifting gym. Usually there is atleastone within tops one hour commute.
Carson Sanders
Maybe you'll be lucky and a fitx will open a gym in your town. Absolute steal at the 20€ they charge with no bullshit fees etc.
