How the fuck do I do this Jow Forums? I'm 85kg and 174cm. I'm a 21y/o poor uni student living with my parents and I overeat like shit because all they make is unhealthy carb filled garbage even though I tell them to change it up. In my culture, it is very impolite to refuse meals, but that's not the problem anyway because I stress eat due to exams and cause there's basically nothing else to do. I can't afford GYM membership, neither would I have enough confidence to go to it with my body anyway. I used to do cardio (when i was like 16 i went from 90kg to 75 somehow in 2-3 months with cardio and barely eating, but i also think it turned me into a manlet) - i wish i could do it again somehow. But now i live in an area where people are stabbing each other every other month and i'm scared to spend much time in the local area. I can't get myself to commit to anything anymore and I eat too much.

First of all, stop making excuses. You are not fat because of your parents food, because its impolite to refuse food, because you can’t afford the gym etc, you are fat because you have an unhealthy relationship with food and you eat too much. You have to start preparing your own meals, and find ways to deal with stress that don’t avoid eating. If you feel stressed do some push ups, play vidya for an hour, jerk off, drink tea, anything other than eating really
>you have an unhealthy relationship with food and you eat too much
Not OP but my body was basically a copy paste of that when I started. The problem was the sedentary lifestyle, I actually didn't eat much.
just do bodyweight routines and cardio bro.
those are free and you can do it anywhere.
Think of your bodyweight like this.
The last 2 number of your heigh in CM is a good rough estimate for how much you should weigh.
So if someone is 170 they should weigh ~70kg
180 ~80kg
190 ~90kg and so on
Try to aim for about 75kg
If you want to drop weight try to eat satiating meals, good source of satiation are legumes, fatty meats, and starchy carbs
Incorporate cardio every other day, just run for 1 hour, no need to be specific about the distance or speed, just run at a pace where you feel challenged for 1 hour 3-4 times a week and eat at a 200 calorie deficit
>I overeat like shit because all they make is unhealthy carb filled garbage even though I tell them to change it up. In my culture, it is very impolite to refuse meals
just keep eating the same stuff, but less
Any bodyweight routine you personally recommend that doesn't require any equipment?
Sacrifice everything and become a god
Yeah that’s a factor as well for sure, OP really needs to start going to the gym or at least start doing some kind of physical exercise. Still, for his lifestyle he clearly eats to much, if he’s more active what he can eat will increase as well
you're an adult, make your own meals or better yet move out of your parent's
OP here, connectionckeeps fucking up so my ID might change or somrthing
I already said I eat too much. If I could live alone, I would just not buy food, but I am still studying (final, most demanding year) and rent is too expensive in London to pay from just a student job.
also post is mine, would like to know a solid bodyweight routine for when outside is too sketchy.
Ok, let me give you this advice before fit retards troll you like they did to me.
you only need push ups, pull ups and squats for a fit body.
push ups and pull ups will cover your upper body (push ups cover chest, triceps and shoulder, pull ups cover back, traps and both cover core) and squats will cover your legs.
You can do more research on bodyweight, look up the reddit bodyweight chart of progressions.
For push ups you can start with:
Normal < Isometric normal < Diamond < Isometric diamond < Assisted one arm < One arm push up < One arm isometric < One arm with one leg raised < One arm with both legs raised < One arm planche < One arm isometric planche < Handstand < Handstand isometric < One arm handstand < One arm handstand push up
If you can do a handstand isometric then you pretty much will be doing your own bodyweight.
For pull ups you can do:
Inverted rows with both hands < Isometric rows < One Arm isometric row < Assisted pull up < Normal pull up < Isometric wide grip pull up < One arm pull up < Isometric one arm pull up
This one took me a while to discover because most of the fitness comunity will never talk about and the bodyweight comunity also don't mention it.
For legs:
Normal Squat < Isometric Normal squat < One single leg squat < Isometric one single leg squat < Isometric one single leg squat while doing isometric deadlift of some static object like a fence or a pole or a wall
You can also look up how to do dips, but this progression is enough to get a nice body as long as you're lean.
Being lean is the most important factor to look good, and that's mostly good nutrition, OMAD, fasting and cardio.
No need for a gym or expensive gay equipment beyond some bar to do pull ups.
London really isn’t that unsafe so long as you go out during the day, and I’m sure your parents can shell out £20 a month to send you to the gym, you can save them that money just by eating less. Skip breakfast, for lunch boil some eggs and have some muesli with semi skim milk and fruit. A healthy snack in the afternoon, then dinner with your parents and just reduce how much you eat of the carb heavy foods and have more veggies and meat
Only you can change yourself. I also live at home and am 21. My mom buys so much junk food and cooks fatty meals. It's gonna take discipline to start. First, you can't blame other people for your body. You need to take control over your own actions. Learn how to cook, and/or eat smaller portions. Exercise a minimum of 3 times per week. And do intermittent fasting. It works wonders.
Thank you. Screenshotted this. I hope I can stick to it when I return home.
If you can't get the equipment to do a pull up because of reasons, you can change it with an inverted row and do a dips bar with some pvc shit.
I don't know if this message will even post. Half my replies to posts just disappear. The captchas keep giving me errors and the thread doesn't update. I'll come get more advice when I get back on the wifi. Thanks so far to the user who gave bodyweight tips.
