So I got a body scan done. I just finished college and the last year I really let my self go and slacked on my routine
>5'7 manlet >172lbs >132lbs lean body weight >22-23% body fat
Trying to figure where to go from here. The guy who did my scan recommended trying to add more muscle before worrying about my body fat percentage. I think my main fear is that if I cut down to 155 pounds there might not be a ton of muscle.
So you know you're an out of shape fatass but you nonetheless exchanged money for a machine to pretend tell you how much of a fatass you are? >Making it >You Pick one, and only one

Bodyfat numbers are good landmarks but don''t matter that much. Look at your body. Are you happy with your current level of muscle definition? Do you think you'll be satisfied with how you look if you put some more pounds of fat covering your muscles? If not, CUT. Get your protein in and stick to a workout routine. If you do things right, keeping (or even gaining) strength is a good indication that the weight you're losing is mostly fat. Aim to lose 1% of your bodyweight per week. If you get diet fatigued but are not in your desired level of leaness, take a break and keep your weight stable during a month or two, then get back to cutting. This is what will work long term.
