dunno about mewing but in my country it's very common (I had to go through it) for people with fucked up teeth to do face exercises along with braces in order to fix their bites.
some exercises made a real impact on my aesthetics, even if you can't change bone, the whole musculature is like any other on the body, train it a few times a day and you'll notice soreness and even a "pump".
