I have now tweaked my back three times doing deadlifts. It fucking sucks. After the second time I posted here asking what the fuck was going on, and followed all the advice and never had back pain again. Last night doing literally nothing different I felt a slight tweak on my last rep. If I watch the videos my upper back rounds slightly but my lower back is very straight... no I won't post the videos here (not going to get doxxed).

So I'm sitting here in pretty horrendous pain thinking this is just going to be a thing that happens to me on occasion and I'm pissed. I don't want to give up deadlifts, especially since I'm might compete one day.

I too tweaked my back twice deadlifting, both times bulging discs in the lumbar region, and my therapist said the third time might be snap city. I hung it up myself for the past couple years but now I'm looking into either sumo stance or trap bar. It probably for the best, since I have a lanklets frame.

Any good deadlift alternatives? Ridiculously heavy kettlebell swings maybe?

Go to a doctor, we can't help you.

Stop posting porn

Deload and be patient the number one fuck up people make is telling too much weight. Be humble and work hard with pure form even if you're doing 2pl8
Fuck no.

I have a >500lb pull. This tweak didn't happen on a max... That actually pisses me off more than anything.

I keep getting irritated by squats
I don't know how you retards keep fucking up deadlifts
Back straight, pick up
Wtf is so complicated with that

>even if youre doing 2pl8
But Im doing 1.5pl8 though

get a professional to help you, dont trust mouthbreathers on Jow Forums.

If that guy who has a pizza-ordering script because a rat was in his oven browses here, you know its bad.

Maybe you have shit genetics and shouldn't be deadlifting or lifting or living at all

>Fuck no.
Do you know anything about kettlebell swings or are you just being anti-crossfit/commie/jew or something?

>tfw can't find the source

Hexbar. I have a ridiculously shitty back and those don't bother me at all.

Some people here hate them but if you are just looking for strength gains go with that.

10 YEARS LATER...
..RRRRRAAAP!

where specifically was the "tweak". I had a similar issue, also not on my max, and it like originated in my right hip/lowerback area.

I took a full month and a half off deadlifting, and even after that I was not back at full capacity. If you just continue to injure yourself and compound the injury you will never compete.

It's lower back, left side, doesn't feel like a spinal injury. Definitely feels like muscle. I'm wondering if I don't squeeze my gluts hard enough on lock out... might have been getting lazy in that regard.

Bracing is good, I think the general form is decent, so I'm not entirely sure what happened. It's been 5 or 6 months since the last tweak.

BRRRRRRAAAP PFT PTT PT PUFF

For the love of god please tell me you have more pics like that

Yep, same here. When it occurred was it like a spasm and an immediate tightness/pain and an "oh fuck did I just go to snap city?". But then thankfully I realized it wasn't true snap city and it was a muscle issue. That evening and the next day I was walking and moving like I was a 2x4.

I was rack pulling 400, which is not my max at all, and I just full on buckled and dropped the weight.

It's been 6 months and you're still having issues deadlifting only 1.5plates? or that was a different guy who said that

This, I'm so pissed my new gym doesn't have one. Going back to the barbell really stresses how much more natural hex feels.

your own fault for being a powerlifting retard. Rippecuck and his fan following are responsible for so many injuries and lack of progress in the gym. Just don't do deadlifts and if you really want to do them, do SLDLs with lower weight and more reps.

Rack Pulls + Hip abductions.

That was another dude. I pull over 500lbs.

So i was sitting on the ground friday after my workout upper body. I was putting on my shoes and i feel a pop and immense pain and stiffness in my lower back i could barely move or get up. It was painful and sunday i coughed to hard and it happened again. Its wednesday and its still kinda hurt. Is this snap city? Anyone have similar experience?

So you've recovered at this point, but have had 3 tweaks.

also have a lanklet frame here, long ass femurs really make my mobility sooo limited. messed my back up squatting because of buttwink but hamstring and hip mobility may save me yet.

I pulled my hamstring on warm up diddlies

What do you mean? I've had three tweaks spaced throughout a year. First two were from obvious form fuck ups, this latest one is much more confusing. Reviewing the video and it looks absolutely fine.

I fucked my back up pretty bad about 6 weeks ago, haven't been back to the gym yet but I feel like I might finally be stable enough to start going again this Saturday.
2 things I learned, my upper back/shoulders are rounding/caving in, and your back tries to compensate for a weak core.

I tweaked my upper back last Friday cleaning a mere 100lbs for ohp. haven't been able to squat since. its getting better though

Oh man tight body and asses are the best.

stop breaking yourself because Jow Forums told you to lift heavy things

not really

fuck DL's man. they are bad for your body.

My coach told me to lift heavy things, not Jow Forums.
