Continuing from previous CBT Thought I was progressing and making it....
CBT. No complementary lighting. No flexing. No angles.
>Went to pool party this past weekend while on vacation. >Got the biggest pump of my life because I basically worked out in nice hotel gym while wife was asleep (morning) and when she would nap(mid-day). >Like 4 hrs of gym a day for 3 days straight. >Exhausted every muscle fiber just before the pool. >Think I'm going to have sick new pictures to contribute to CBT. >Had friend take pictures. >Look like pillsbury doughboy. >only the dead know peace from this suffering
Going full monk mode now. Growing facial hair until 10% bf and can see 6 pack and serratus.
See you around in CBT for next 4 months... Posting this cringey AF picture as my self punishment so I can be so disgusted by myself that I'll push myself more.
I feel this way too OP, I have that stubborn fat that won’t go away and it would seem my only way out is incessant cardio. My diet is on point and yet I still manage to carry around fat on my stomach. Plus I have body dysmorphia so my brain warps everything and makes me feel 10x fatter than I really am.
you could consider cutting down pretty far until you have visible abs. Also diet> cardio for losing weight always
Hudson Wood
Dude that's not body dysmorphia hitting you, that's reality hitting you
Matthew Robinson
Wonder how long that will take. Either way I’ve made it my mission. If it takes miles of cardio every day i’m Gonna do it because calorie counting somehow never works for me. Thanks G, real helpful. I know I’m fat but everybody outside this board tells me I’m average looking so I consider it dysmorphia. Then again everyone on this board has it to some degree so...
Jace Foster
If someone were to look at you, say a normal person, they'd think you're normal and healthy. In this light you don't really look like you lift imo.
People on this board think everyone is fat, has gyno, and is going bald. Reliably. Every time because they are either retarded or mentally ill. So you don't look terrible at all, no one would look at you and be like "omg look at that fatty!"
Juan Butler
This is OP here.
I have ALWAYS had love handles (since like 5yrs old). I've lost them twice before only when I got down to like 8%bf. Even after visible 6 pack, they are there.
They are literally the last to go. Easier to say "fuck it" and go for big lats and serratus and work on making legs/glutes big. These will make waist appear smaller by comparison. Add on big and good shoulders and then no one is even looking at your stomach.
How did you manage to lose all the fat? Intense calorie restriction and cardio? Is that level of body fat % even sustainable?
Josiah Ross
>11kg down from /CBT/ asking how not to look like me, and me hoping I would look good after a cut. >So stoked that my abs are starting to show. >Gonna cut another 2kg
>Easier to say "fuck it" and go for big lats and serratus You have wide hips, embrace the fridge-mode. I might be the same, never saw my abs before, so time will have to tell. >Calorie counting never worked for me Time to get it to work then, "miles of cardio" means nothing.. is it 2 miles, 5 miles? I run 10km every other day now, and knowing an estimate of how many calories I burn doing it, and how much food that equates to, makes it a lot easier. Don't be fooled, cardio might not burn as much as you think.
Down from 190. Been dieting since January and lifting 5 times a week since April. Before that I would gym about twice a month. Currently going for 160. I can see my abs for the first time in my life when I flex them.
Dude you are fat as fuck. Why would you think that you would look good in pictures?
Ryder Young
Pls help me improve. Fridge mode to widen my core and match my hips? More chest? 6'3" 220 >normies think I'm big >gf thinks body dysmorphia but I know I'm just twinkmode
You just still have a much higher body fat percent than you think. Most nattys will look DYEL unless they cut. You clearly have some muscle mass but as you have a big torso and small arms it makes you look like you've never lifted a day in your life.
Jacob Perez
You are just skinny fat. You either need a serious bulk or cut right down. That would suck for you though as you dont have any muscle to start with so probably just bulk
Grayson Nguyen
My progress pics are kinda depressing, I swear there is some sort filter on that always makes me look like a crayon. It's nowhere near as bad in the mirror.
Lifting for three months, Scooby's intermediate workout three times a week, still making lots of progress. Obviously still on a cut..
6'0 18 Been lifting every day, started 8 months ago. Almost never lifted before. Always been bulking, but i dont get fat, I guess I have a fast metabolism.
EVERYONE HERE NEEDS TO KNOW THIS. How you look in mirror pics is not even close to how you look in person ESPECIALLY without a pump. Some of the comments in this thread are ultra cringe and naive. You look like shit. But that's fine. Be consistent and one day you'll make it.
Jace Wilson
Never skip leg day
Blake Morris
Focus on upper chest (reverse grip bench/incline) and OHP, bigger shoulders make you look wider.
Nicholas Gray
6'4" Lost about 100lbs thus far Started lifting again after a 6 year hiatus
I played football(soccer) for 15 years so my legs are naturally stronger, I started squatting 3 weeks ago with starting weight of 187 lbs so I'm still making noob gains I think
You're gonna look great after a cut probably. I'd say around 18-20%
This is me cutting from 83ish to 73ish (182-160lbs) at 179 cm (5'10), and I thought the same thing. You're gonna look way better than me.
Tyler Rogers
Hit some reverse curls and pull ups faggot.
Samuel Gray
6'2'', 19, 196lbs.
Tried to measure my body fat level with calipers and it came out at 2% lmao no fucking way. Could anyone give me an estimate, and advise me on whether to cut or bulk up to 15stone and then cut?
I think this look is ideal compared to the ripped look. Bet you look like a monster in a tight fit shirt bro.
Nathan Mitchell
The love handle Jew has fucked me my whole life too. It's a pain but what you need to focus on is maintaining a consistently lean physique.
Bulk and cut is a meme for natties. When you're on gear it works really well because of the intense size you can put on in a short time, but when you're natural the mass you gain(in my experience) is about 60/40 fat to muscle in the first few years and after 5+ years you're lucky to see a 80/20 split.
By the time you cut back down to fighting weight most natties would be lucky to have gained 2-3lbs of LBM
That’s the worst part about bulking. I feel stronger than ever towards the end of my bulk. Just amazing, like I could truck through an offensive lineman in the nfl. Then I cut down and feel like shit while cutting. Then at the end of the cut the mires come. Outside the gym I’m happier. Inside the gym in unhappier.
Such is the rollercoaster.
Nathaniel Morales
The cut and bulk cycle did work wonders for me... 85kg to 76kg back to 85kg and it's like a recomp, my total is stronger by like 200lbs at least and ohp went from ~75kg to 90kg
I don't know how it would be on maintenance but from what I remember that didn't lead to good results on bench and ohp whatsoever.
Connor Nguyen
mirin those abs
how can I unlock ab mode? cut until bf is low enough?
Ryder Bell
Over 35. 5’9”. Cardio and random machines for 2.5 years been lifting for about a year now. Nothing crazy. no pump or good lighting clearly.
just do heavy deadlifts and squats and throw in some ab isolations like hanging leg raises or kneeling cable crunches. and yea, you should cut to sub 15% bf.
Aaron Peterson
5’8, not sure of exact weight, somewhere around mid-high 140s I would guess.
Finally feeling like i'm making some progress. 6'1" lifting since Aug '18 but didn't take diet seriously until this January because i wanted to quit being a fatass. Want to get to 9-10% then forever leanbulk
fucking cut. I promise you'll look WAY better, even with shitty lighting.
Jaxson Lee
You gotta dress right. Polo shirts or skinny shirts and tight jeans
Nolan Edwards
Honestly I just do whatever Monday and Thursday Is bench and arms, Tuesday and Friday is legs, wendsday is back, sat is shoulders. I used to focus on bicep isolation excersizes but now I do it less. I did preacher curls, and curls in diferent positions to hit diferent parts of my bicep, as for triceps, just the rope pulldowns. Also idk if its placebo, but I've been doing it since day one, after every workout I take 2-3 scoops of protein powder.
Nice try nigger, your 'not a chub' attempt is foiled.
Angel Walker
Fitted jeans + white/black/blue/grey T and you’re fixed
James Baker
nobody natty looks like they lift without the right clothing
Eli Reed
~1500 calorie daily
Riding about 50mi of bike a week + about 30-40mins of elliptical 4x a week.
Body composition is not sustainable.
Below 10-12% requires constant fasting and dehydration. Impossible to make gainz.
In pics I went from about ~155lb ~18% bf to ~145lb ~8% bf.
Definitely aesthetic lifting. Could barely do 1pl8 bench at 3x5. Was doing primarily calisthenics, bodyweight, and 20lb dumbbell and under exercises at home.
Currently about 170lb, no idea about bf%. Lifts are double what they were at 145lb except for delts. I honestly thought shoulders would develop on their own by doing OHP. Can do 5x5x50lb dumbbell OHPs but still struggle to do 3x10x20lb lateral raises (side and front) with perfect form (100% straight arms).
I've basically stopped increasing lifts on presses and curls and am focusing on lateral raises, back/lats, and legs+glutes. I hate the "curl bro" look i have now (thick biceps and triceps, small shoulders).
I unfortunately don't have a good before pic, but I've lost roughly 30 pounds in the last year with diet, and gained some definition in the last 6 months with some simple weights and body weight exercises at home.
What do I need to work on next, bros? I don't know how some of y'all get so jacked
