why are you a coward, running from your problems?

us lifters stand in place and rep our problems, unlike you

how often do you shit yourself

Why a yu gae?

How often do you train in the “aerobic zone”? Aka, 180-age heart rate.

Favorite place to eat in kenya?

Attached: Screenshot_20190622-144330_Instagram.jpg (592x778, 258K)

>not eating nothing but ugali, bread and tea with sugar for maximum running gains

Have your nipples ever bled?

How did you start training, was it specifically as a runner or for another sport?
What country are you from and what's their athletic development like?
What kind of money do you make and where does most of it come from?
How does your training now compare to your training when you were an amateur?
What events do you run?

Whats ur 5k. Also do you ever get shin splints/leg injuries. Whats your protocol for dealing with them

what distance do you run

During the winters it's about 100km in zone 2 a week

I have never been to Kenya, I go to flagstaff for camp most lf the time!

My knees hurt real fast even though I lost weight (86 to 75) and give up before my heart does, what do?

>professional runner
>not kenyan
Why even try m8? You dont have the right package anyway

how deal shin splint

Fpbp

Whats that in retard units...a-asking for a fren

189 to 165 lbs apparently.

No
I use to play football and was recuirted by a track coach who knew my fotball coach.
I'm from a scandinavian country.
I make around 100k dollars a year, mostly from my main sponsor.
I run the 800m and the 1500m

I've never ran a 5000m but I have done a 5k in a threshold session in 14.40.

Strength traing and run more

Alternative training a lot of calf raises, do 3*20 twice a day. Also avoid hard surfaces such as asphalt or concrete.

I have never shit myself during a race!
But I'm on good terms withthe famous poopman who shit himself during a half marathon!

What are your best times in your events

800m: 1.45.59
1500m: 3.39.68

>short distance runner thinks he a professional

I don't get professional running.
Do you race for money or do you just solicit donations from running apparel companies to support you in your hobby?

Could you compete in the olympics?

if you run backwards, do you get younger? i see old asian people walking backwards and clapping. they say it keeps them young.
have you any proof to back up your answer?

I'm sponsored by Nike and get a salary that pays like a full time job, what do you mean not professional!

I qualified for the 2016 Rio Olympics but couldn't compete due to an injury!

how many kilometers do you run per week?

what are the best cheap running shoes? im poor

What age of starting is too late/heavily disadvantaged to ever see the top 50 spots at a marathon?

What put you on the map for your nike sponsorship?

Why don't you eat more, and lift aswell?

I'm training for my first marathon that's in 4 months. Any tips?

Up to 150km a week but it varies depending on season. Less during the spring and summer and more during autumn and winter.

Nike Zoom Air Pegasus 36

You can start relativetly late with the marathon, the world record was set by a 33 year old!
But if you start after 20 I'd say you are at a big disadvantage.

I won the bronze medal at the world junior championships at 19 and been with Nike ever since!
Run a lot and keep the easy sessions easy and the hard ones hard.

Is nobody else gonna call you a nigger?

Ya nigger

Dude, I'm white...

Shut up nigger

Nice, you ever get coaching or workouts from jack daniels himself?

spotted

Attached: 2016-06_Henrik_Ingebrigtsen_Bislett.jpg (240x270, 16K)

Nah its Andreas, if hes legit.
Hey mate how much enhancement is going on out in flagstaff these days? You taking any ESAs like procrit, etc?

I am not Henrik, but he is a nice guy and a way petter runner than I am!

Im actually surprised at the salary he claimed, 6 figures is uncommon for runners, though a nike contract would make sense... If its who i think it is he won the 1500 a few days ago at folksam grand prix...

What is your diet like leading up to an event?

How do you avoid knee injuries ?
What to look for in running shoes ?

Is Eric Orton a good role model?

So do you win money from races or do you get all your money from sponsorship?

Could you compete in the next olympics or is that only for amateurs?

>Nike Zoom Air Pegasus 36
Spoken like a true Nike shill.
However, you are getting paid by them and not for free.

Do you ever do any barefoot work?

Should I train fasted or with some food in my stomach?

Morning or evening?

Not op but backwards running is unironically a warm up for running as it drills in push mechanics, maybe only a sprinter thing though

Running fasted is a messed up way to lose weight.
You can lose weight if you've eaten enough energy, but at least you can also focus on a good work out if you're training to get better at running.

Are you Chris Solinsky?

What's the best strategy for tackling hills?

My HR spikes whenever I encounter hills during a race.

Do you let your heels touch the ground when running?

What's "hitting the wall" feel like in marathons?

Honest question, how to professional runners make money?

dyel?

In fact that's quite motivational, not bad user

Can you dunk a basketball? With two hands?

he runs

Mate it was Andreas Almgren, he vanished after someone correctly identified this

You’re just projecting your cowardice on him. He’s bravely running towards a solution... of actually being fit. You’re just standing still, coping, and not actually accomplishing anything.

Don’t believe me? Which sounds like a better accomplishment, “I ran 100km this week” or “4 time this week I went to a room and picked things up and put them down”. I think we all know the answer.

>running
>not biking

>Don’t believe me? Which sounds like a better accomplishment, “I ran 100km this week” or “4 time this week I went to a room and picked things up and put them down”. I think we all know the answer.

Yes, the second one, for sure.

running doesn't require equipment or maintenance, gets you tired faster and forces your shin bones to get stronger or snap. so it works for me

Thoughts on serious training barefoot? I'm looking to peak a little over 100mpw this summer and am curious about running barefoot. I've already bought two pairs of Nike Structures so if you're thinking about trying to get me to sell shoes it won't work lol

my form is really good if you were wondering

also want your thoughts on Cam levins style uber-high mileage training? I ran 3:58 on 10 months of 40 ish mpw with a few weeks above 50 but I feel like I could do way better with more mileage?

also, how much do you weigh?

how long before a competition do you eat and what do you eat?

Attached: 1558478781970.jpg (1024x602, 99K)

What's your favorite workout?

Should I really push myself during base training tempos or fartleks or stay comfortable?

Best speed workouts?

>start doing "sprint" intervals to supplement my jogging
>do 6 intervals of 30 sec 'sprinting' 1:30 walking
>measure distance on google maps
>each interval is .1 miles
>6 x .1 = .6 miles
>my "sprint" is a ten fucking minute mile
a-am i gonna make it?

Any tips for dealing with IT band fuckery?

joining the military, how can i improve my cardio over the next 4 months or so. i run 5-8k every other day from 5:00 to 6:00 ish pace. should i do more sprints? what would a sprint routine look like

Mostly from sponsors but I get some from races aswell!
Strength training, it is often overlooked among runners but it is very important if you want to avoid injuries.

Who?

Hopefully I will be able to, I've had a lot of injuries the last couple of years but I'm on my way back now.

I sometimes run barefoot but it's not an essential part of my training. More like cool down on grass after a session in spikes.

That is very individual, some people can't run if they've eaten in the last 4 hours and some can run 30 min after a meal.
Same thing with morning or evening.

True

No

I run the 800 and 1500 on a track, so I fortunately don't have to deal with hills.
It's not weird that your HR is higher while running up a hill. Do a of hill intervals in training and you'll get used to handling them.
Not during a 800m race but at lower paces it might happen. But you always land on your forefoot first.

I'm a middle distance runner so I wouldn't know...

We are basically glorified shoe sales men. Win a bunch of races and have a online presence so a major brand sponsors you. Now you are a pro!
This is very uncommon in the pro scene! Kenyans do it when they are young but it's mostly because they can't afford shoes.

And yes you will get better if you run more. But increase it slowly or you will get hurt.

At the moment 65kg at 177cm

You should push yourself hard enough, if you can't stand when you are done you are overdoing it and your recovery will not be optimal.
I personally do double threshold twice a week where I do a threshold session morning and evening.
I also measure the lactate in my blood in those sessions to make sure that I am getting the effect that I want!

Attached: lactate-scout--hematocrit-compensation_grande.jpg (1159x1500, 70K)

It's important do with a variety of paces. You should do a lot of low intensity trading at low paces for me that's about 4.30min/km and then you need faster sessions aswell.

They have different purposes but are equally important!

Every has to start somewhere, just keep working hard and results will come!

Is every athlete at that level doping?

No :)

You ever shit your pants mid race and had to just push through it?

how fast do i need to be at

100
200
400
800

to make a livin of it ?

also what are your lifting numbers

What's the best running shoes for Marathon? What are the things I need to look for?

I'm 185lbs at 5'8". My knees hurt after running a 21k. Is this due to weight or bad form?

Are kneepads legit?

Coffee before a marathon?

if i made 100 k dollard a year id be damn rich

fuck

can you smoke, fuck whores and drink or you need good behavior otherwisr the sponsors will stop paying you ?

>Establishes himself as a mid-distance runner
>Ask questions about marathon
Hmmm...

>thats the guy who posts anime girls

What's a good workout for improving sprint speed? Figured I should add some general fitness to the usual workout routine, but don't really know anything about it other than just running.

not OP but doping is more common from 400 meters and under

100 meters specialists are /fraud af

wish you all the best luck in you career bro

>there are olympic tier athletes posting on this board

nice

Jakob ingebrigsten?

how many times a week do you run?
and how many times would you recommend for a not-runner guy trying to get better at it?
also 800-1500 is based asf

>he's a sponsor-shill
Cuck-a-doodle-do. Make sure to watch what you say--one wrong word and your contract is null and void. Don't try anything new unless it's approved by your sponsors.

you're basically every user who says "just do hiit" in running threads except you actually realized you're slow

I'm an alright runner, I'm tall but most of my height is in my torso and not my legs.
How can I activate my strides more efficiently? I feel like as soon as I consciously start lifting my knees higher, I start going too fast and get exhausted.
My best time was 7:14/mile 5k. Also had a 38:26 5 mile (first two miles at 7:20) that I'm pretty proud of. How can I crack into the 6 minutes? It's eluded me for years.

how come you are here on Jow Forums ?

today my 5k clocked in at 46 minutes and I'm wondering if I should continue with my 10k training. I'm doing this program

halhigdon.com/training-programs/10k-training/novice-10k/

I'm normally slow with a 12 minute mile (new runner) but today was ridiculous. It was 85 when I was running so that might have affected my run.

Anyway, do you think I should continue doing that 10k program when my 5k is that slow? I'm not that sore after the run, mild shin tenderness but that usually goes away by the end of the day.

I'm a mid distance runner not a marathon runner, very big difference! But i recommend the Nike Vaporfly Next%.

It's not uncommon for your body to hurt after running, if it lasts more than 72 hours it's a problem. If it's the outside of the knee it might be "runners knee" wich is very common. Look up exercises for it on google.

And I drink coffe before every run!

It's hard to be in shape doing that, and yes they wouldn't like me doing that!

An easy way to get faster is to finish all your longer runs with strides, 4-6*100-150m.

Thanks guys :)

12 times a week + 2 gym sessions at the moment!

If you want to get better you should be running as much as possible without getting hurt!
I don't know you or your body so I can't even give you an educated guess. Give me some more info like your backgroud, prs and current training amount.

Run more

Been on Jow Forums for a long time and Jow Forums is pretty funny to browse from time to time.

Alot of clueless people here so i wanted to inform and help people out since i actually know what I'm talking about!

That pretty easy but the structure is ok.
