Been wondering about this for years, a filter isn't enough for me, I'm sure there's some shit that can get through it. I can see 3 solutions:

1. Harvesting rainwater
Not a good idea in urban areas though

2. Getting it from the ground via a well or pump
The problem is it takes a lot of time and/or money to set up and again, doesn't work in urban areas

3. Harvesting water from trees, melted snow or rivers
Only works if you live in the nature
