Nurses in Europe are not like nurses in USA.
RN’s in USA have many procedures they are allowed to perform that are invasive and require autonomy and skills.

Nurses in Europe are literally glorified “nurse aids” basically clean up shit all day and take vitals.

This is why USA rn’s can go to school for ~2 years longer and be practitioners and can prescribe medications. In some states independently of a physician.

Most in demand associate's degree+ jobs can earn 100k/year if you're willing to put in the hours. My job requires 1.5years of training, passing a national exam and maintaining a minimum amount of continuing education. No degree or actual college classes. With my work experience I could relocate anywhere in the country and find a job next week if I wanted. If I was willing to work 72 hours a week every week I'd make 128k/year at my present job.

Last year my gross was 96k. This year will probably be around 84k since I'm taking a couple trips and not planning to work anymore overtime. My base pay with no overtime, holiday pay etc is 67k/year.

I'm a critical care paramedic. I have lots of additional certs like fpc, ccemtp etc and have 3 years of flight experience. But just as a fresh licensed medic you can find a job anywhere in the country today (maybe not a great job) because of how high demand is. The hard part is finding a great job where the pay and benefits are hood and the work isn't terrible. The wage variance is huge for medics especially though. From my last job to my current job I went from $21/hr to $29/hr with about the same benefits. My first job as a medic was $13/hr with trash benefits.

It's very stressful and not everyone is cut for it, loads of burnt out people quit the job to become a Walmart cashier even if it pays 1/3rd. You need good grades to get accepted or you are placed in eternal waiting lists and have to take a lot of prerequisites which basically means losing from 1 to 3 years just waiting. Nursing is also a lot of studying, if you are good memorizing shit you are good but otherwise prepare to suffer and maybe fail the NCLEX due to anxiety.
