>Ecdysterone, a steroid-like substance found in spinach, quinoa and bodybuilding supplements, has a stronger anabolic effect than scientists suspected. German biochemists have worked out how ecdysterone makes muscle fibres bigger and stronger – and they think that this natural steroid can help the elderly to maintain muscle strength. And that ecdysterone should perhaps be placed on the doping list.
Anabolic effect of ecdysterone strong enough to put it on the doping list
Let's just put anything that's remotely healthy on the doping list.
How much spinach do you need to eat on a daily basis? 1kg? 10kg? 100kg?
interesting, surprised there isn't more data on this, though a lack of data is *usually* not a good sign
the study that produced anabolic effects of ecdysterone inserted the ecdysterone directly into the muscle cells. eating foods that contain ecdysterone isnt the same thing as directly injecting it into the cell
i think this is referring to supplements.
Looks like Popeye was right about spinach guys

Basically,
these hormones are made by plants to overload the insects who eat them with hormones that control their molting and what not. Human tissue increases protein synthesis when given phytoecdysteroids. I'm going to the store for spinach and Quinoa now. Probably will have to go to an Hispanic supermarket for the Suma root.
Posts like this make this place worth coming to. Thanks user!
From the link I posted below between 0.5-5mg/Kg of bodyweight. Very easy to do if you like spinach and quinoa. I've never tried quinoa or Suma root but I'm willing to try it for the gains.
You can just buy Ajuga Turkestanica extract, it probably has the most out of any plant. Not a lot of info out on it, but I've been taking about 4g a day with no negative effects.Tastes a bit like chocolate too.

What happens when you cook spinach and there's a thing called temperature degredation and bioavailability.
No. You have probably heard that a high proportion of iron in spinach has low bioavailability. ... Studies have shown that as little as 2% of iron from spinach is actually absorbed by the body. This is quite low considering the average absorption of iron from meat is around 15 -35%.Feb 12, 2016
>0.5-5mg/Kg of bodyweight
For 100kg body weight that's either 500g spinach or 5kg spinach... there's apparently spinach powder so could go with that
>500g spinach
or
>5kg spinach
BUT WHICH IS IT?
>What happens when you cook spinach
That's why you don't. Raw is so much better than the rancid soggy dogshit which comes out even if you cook it right.
>user gives a bunch of kids kidney stones
I'm just gonna put some in my nutribullet add broccoli, blueberries, and some pineapple. I'll use mostly unsweetened almond milk and a little bit of chocolate almond milk and a little bit of psyllium fiber. I usually add a scoop or two of this and some natural peanut butter but I'm good on fats today. So I'll skip that and see how this shake turns out.
It's 500mg for a 100Kg person but I won't need nearly that much plus we don't have to Max it out just incorporate it into your diet. Some is better than none.
>drinks water like an actual human being
heh... nothin personnel
apparently there was a lot of stuff on the bb forums about this. Is it legit? Can't really find many supplements that have it.
>that pic
Disgust
plants are not food hehe
>Says Jordan Peterson
Made the shake and it was really good. I was only able to get in 0.5mg/Kg of the spinach but it's better than nothing and it tasted pretty good. I would recommend you guys try it if you have the opportunity .
after looking at some papers the results are dubious at best
Well you're not gonna go wrong eating whole foods
Where can i get this?
This... this image is ironic, right?
Naw man, each cow kills 1 person through it's lifetime. It's why we can kill them guilt free.
He said sarcastically.
You can tip these dumb fuckers over, that whole image is made up.
yeah, I wouldn't rush out and buy the supplements though. Looks like you need to take a crazy amount for any results
>10^89 insects
I really want you to try to fathom that number. 10 followed by 89 zeros. A little over ten billion billions.
>heme iron is good for you
Lol nope, it literally causes cancer you faggot.
It's actually more insects than there are atoms in the observable universe...
Yeah lol
What does the iron have to do with anything?
W.. what a secound
Of course not but thanks for the advice
Can someone make on of these but for vegetables? As in how much destruction is caused by growing cauliflowers or something
Or how eating vegan creates more CO2 thus is worse for the the animals. Somebody could, yeah. I vote you do it and post it here.
More than the Earth’s mass in insects every day?
So how much spinach to get extreme results? Im willing to inject it smoke it inhale it anything.
Where's the study? Link otherwise you're just pushing faggot ass supplements
>there are stupid motherfuckers who don't understand human physiology is a hollistic system that cannot be cheat by ingesting a singular (((supplement)))
>I'd rather endorse TRT and androgenic compounds then "miracle" shit sold by supplement companies
>heme iron causes cancer
I'm sure the annon, low IQ as he is will one day with any measure of comprehension explain in precise detail as to how heme iron facilitates disease processes in humans, via pathophysiology
>I'm not holding my breadth either
>this faggot will never explain because he probably googled it on a vegan site
The truth is often dissappointing
There's a link posted already. Read it.
There was and attempt
nothing about it in the link
A low energy attempt
look at how hairy her fuckin nose is mate wtf is that shit
Jesus why is this pic so high def? I can see the fucking peach fuzz on her lip
>eat spinach
>get gains
>but also get kidney stones
Fugg
I miss that guy hehee
How much quiona to be big
Ten
Low test detected
500mg is half a gram you realise that right?
well the world is a big place with a lot of insects
Can the same substance be found in Ajuga Reptans?
>half a kilo of spinach a day minimum
quiona seems more reasonable
holy shit, these supplements go for like $35
based
fucking retards who don't know basic exponentiation and metric prefix
you can just buy it as a supp, no need to mess about that being said no ones linked the study I found it here on libgen.io, an't link it cause spam filter
the outcomes actually seem interesting, in that study they took a commercially available supp
You mean 50-500g spinach
>pic related was unironically right
Are you ready for the popeye pill?
>tfw unironically too poor for this shit
you do 8 weeks on 4 off, 12 week cycles and you buy 100 pills for £30 it costs £10 a month or £30 per cycle
>45mg in 450g of spinach
>doses that are promising are 500mg for 100kg male
Just eat 5kg of spinach bro, kidney stones from oxalates won't kill you bro.
examine.com
it doesnt do shit
Spinach is toxic and you can die from oxalate poisoning.
5kg of spinach would probably kill you.
>latest Jow Forums fad 2019: spinach has steroid-like substances in it
>Jow Forums starts eating spinach like they did mustard back when somebody claimed it has a huge anabolic effect
it's been studied in placebo control trials that've been replicated, also placebo controlled
booksdescr.org
>American math
Wew, Common Core...
>what is replication crisis
can you not read? I've said the study has been replicated several times and since replication crisis means it can't be replicated either you didn't read my post or you buzzworded without knowing what it means
I think I replied to you earlier about this. Maybe, but it hasn't been studied. The extract for Ajuga Turkest powder is $13, why even bother with something else that might not have the same effect.
Show me high energy pls
