It'll all work out, fren.
I just got a job in a new state/city. Get to ditch this absolute shithole and garbage company w/o ever looking back. Just give it time, user

Dude if you knew what he looks like you wouldnt have to ask

True dat. I got a new job a year ago and my happiness is night and day. Old one was tons of hours, insane pressure, bosses that loved to yell and scream and fire people on the spot, etc. I survived there for a few years and then ditched for a job with 60% of the pay, but far more happiness.

Finances have been tight though.

Can someone post the "zero, zero, zero, zero" pullup gif? That will help OP.

gotchu sen pai

I'm currently in a job where with 18 months of experience, I am now the most senior person on the team because others have left or moved to different teams. Because of this, I have been tapped to work on a few projects. Between the special projects, regular work, and being a source for knowledge for the 6 other people on the team, I am constantly slammed 100% of the time, and I'm dropping balls and missing deliverables because I simply do not have the time.

I'm miserable and (medically) morbidly obese and not working out and working nights and weekends to try to stay afloat but I'm still drowning.

Should I find a new job, fucking my team over because they will lose an extremely knowledgeable (by comparison) team member and walking away from the projects management selected me for?

Oh fuck I love it so much. Gets me right in the feels every time. Thank you.

Dressed like Mr. Rogers.
>Good evening neighbor, it’s a wonderful day except for the lying, pompous smug groupthink antifa outside my house right now.

Never held a job before so probably shouldn't listen to me, but if you're such a big resource to your team why not just express to your boss the kind of stress you're under and how its hindering your performance on some projects and see if you can get a bit of a lighter schedule?

That is of course a good answer, but my problem there is that my manager has no one else to put my shit on. I'm being given the "hard" tasks, not tons and tons of easy, quick work. He has no other people he can pass those tasks to. He and I have conversations where we both acknowledge that I'm buried and not doing my best because of it because there are no options and that it's basically going to continue to be the same.

That powerwalk at the end nails it

Couldn't you at least ask for a raise if you're doing all this stuff? It seems like its more your manager's fault then yours if you leave if he knows that he's overburdening you and not compensating you for it.

Also do you think things will continue like this for the foreseeable future?

I'm thinking that my salary isn't going to be reassessed unless I have a change in title or positions, both of which are extremely unlikely since I am so needed on the team where I am right now. My boss knows I want to move onto another team, since the team I'm on is basically the starter team and everyone eventually movies onto the senior team with sufficient experience, but I'm worried that I'm never going to be allowed to move off of it because the rest of the team doesn't give as much of a fuck and aren't working to get to my level. As a result, it's likely going to be impossible to allow me to l

So yeah, I don't see it changing any time soon.

Man always put personal wellbeing over a job. If you like the team talk to your management about your issues and if they're unable or unwilling to help I'd say start looking for a new job. Good luck.

8137331 chiming in. Dude, find something else. It's not even worth it to negotiate. I mean really, I took a massive paycut and was still way happier (still am).

You can't put a price tag on happiness. It sounds like a meme but it's true. If you are going to suffer, at least get a lot for it. I understand that re-negotiating an arrangement is tough. That's why I recommend leaving and letting them come to you with a counter-offer.

Also, if you are morbidly obese, man, let's GO and get you in shape! Just set a hard calorie limit and suffer the consequences. I used to be obese too and I set a limit and any exercise was a bonus. I got thinner (not twig), found a girl on Bumble, and now I'm married.

You can do it man. No excuses.

I don't consider them human

I think you're right, bro. Gotta get fit for once in my life and see if that and maybe a change in peace jobwise will allow me to attain happiness for the first time in a long time.

I don't think you would be a dick for leaving those assholes at all. In fact I'd think you're a cuck if you don't start standing up for yourself.

If you get fit but stay in your shit job, you'll be miserable.

If you get a new job but stay fat, you'll be miserable.

Only solution to LIFE is to get fit and get a new job.

That sounds intimidating. But it's not. Just take it one day at a time and you'll get there.

I was doing aviation line maintenance. Fixing planes on 30-45min turns. After only 2 months the guy I was working with left to become supervisor and I was by myself. A month later I was expected to teach a new guy despite no real training on this aircraft. Even though FAA regulations require you to have been tought something before you can do it I was thrown to the wolves to figure this shit out by myself while the plane was already boarding. This was worse since I rarely even had a supervisor to go to when i didn't know what the fuck to do.
