I have a large chest too and it's one of my weakest groups because I want to try and look proportionate so I don't train it that much(no cable flyes, etc.) Just bench, incline, and dips.

The novice range in SS is pretty wide and encompasses most of the "noob gains" which people see fairly easily when they start regularly lifting. You need a more aggressive compound based program focused on strength building to move up efficiently. Something like SL or Greyskull for example. Diet also plays a bigger role as you build.
