Will very late workouts (finishing 1 hour before going to sleep) fuck up my sleep? Schedule is kinda rough for the next year or so...

It's more likely to improve your sleep.
take a cold shower after workout and don't eat anything after it.
Really? I thought because of the adrenalin and cortisol rush I wouldn't be able to sleep or is it actually a tiring effect?
don't believe in cold showers desu but I'm redpilled on fasting
Stop posting e porn
Don't forget to fap. Bonus point with weed. You'll have the best sleep.
A cold shower will actually makes you more relaxed afterwards. As for not eating, it's just that eating right before bed will make it difficult to fall asleep.
>don't eat anything after it.
Not him but I eat immediately after I do my workout. Isn't that the ideal? I can't lift when I'm stuffed anyway, and I do better lifting fasted.
The morning not viable? Whenever I'm really busy I'll just get the workout done like half an hour after some fast digesting breakfast and protien, then eat again and wash and you're good to go for the day. Even if you have to get up really early.
Two best words of advice you will ever hear for making gains while shit sucks: HOME GYM
Don't eat anything right after it bc it would mean eating right before going to bed.
he's not talking about working out with a full stomach, it's just a specific situation and says that it's hard to fall asleep this late with a full stomach like mentioned here
Cortisol dissipates quickly once the stress factor is gone and you have safe space to rest. Instead you'll feel the serotonine rush, which lasts a lot longer and is pretty much a depressant and will help you relax and fall into deep slumber.
Also, cold showers are pretty based, but are better after morning warm-up.
I go for a run in the morning and can't lift at that time because I'm a college student and only have access to the college gym which opens 11am at the earliest but is open till 11pm. I already wake up quite early at 6am so I'd like to be in bed at 11pm maximum, work out till 10pm
fuck that advice. eat after your workout. one of the first things drilled into my head when I was a noob was to always get 20+ grams of protein within 30 minutes of a workout. protein during that window is more beneficial. it's one of the few things that everyone knows that isnt broscience.
and i know less about this part but I believe the eating before sleep is a myth. go ahead and do it.
I'll finish in her 1 hour before going to sleep, if you know what I mean
Sucks but shouldn't fuck your sleep at all if you can just 100% chill after your workout, like reading a book in bed. No electronics, no work, no admin just chill. As for eating I'd do a really good pre-workout meal then have a whey shake with some small amount of high GI carbs like fruit and then have some casein protein (shake or cottage cheese or something) just before bed.
thanks!
Now if I believe these boomer doctors youtube.com
Could you tell me why casein protein is good before bed?
training close to night is much better than training close to morning, look up studies from jeremy ethier vids on YT on this subject
ending 1hr before sleeping might not be optimal though, 2,5-3hr would be much much better,
i lift when i get back from work usually after having a pre-dinner dinner. so my workout starts aroudn 18:30 and usually i finish aroudn 21±30mins depending on if its a deadlift day or not. i homegym. but then i eat dinner around (now) 21:06-22:00 and get to bed around 23:30 to wake up at 7am for the morning workout before work.
that all said for reference. i find it does hurt my sleep sometimes but only because ill be thinking about the morning workout or my workout in general and it gets the blood pumping and i cant sleep. but not sure. so yes, at times it does hamper sleep.
Whey protien = fast digestion, good for pre-workout and immediately post workout to maximize protein synthesis and stuff.
Casein protein = slower digestion over many hours, so your body has a supply over night or for longer periods where you're without eating/drinking.
Both are available as powders for shakes. So long as you don't fill your stomach before bed you're alright in my experience. I like to mix chocolate casein powder and low fat cottage cheese together and eat it before bed, it's like a chocolate pudding. Sometimes I'll just drink the shake. I use whey as a substitute for post and pre workout protein sources if I can't get some real food for some reason, but I prefer solids. IMO casein powder is worth having to take before sleep, whey powder is just a less than ideal substitute for real food you should be eating pre and post workout.
Wow that looks like a really nice sunroom.
i wake up every hour and do 1/8 of my workout. haha so wacky right
nice, means after the night you have your arm workout done before the day begins, whatever it takes!
