I have a really high metabolism so no matter how much I eat I just don't gain any weight. How can I get bigger? As much as I enjoy being skinny, I'm too skinny.

I'm 19 years old.

I used to be almost as skinny as that and thought i had an insane metabolism. I just didnt eat enough, eat over 3000 calories a day for a while and you will put on weight

Eat 3000 calories. If that doesn't work then eat 4000. Look up meals with a lot of calories and make sure you're also getting your other nutrients as well. For example, one bowl of oatmeal is an easy 1000 calories. I know it's gonna be hard to eat that much, but that's the price to pay to get bigger. Eventually your stomach will get bigger and so will your appetite and that will make things easier for you. Good luck brother.

Eat 3,700 calories everyday for like 1 month, only eat actual food, a lot of meat, go lift fucking weights. If you still haven't gained weight (which is categorically impossible) just take the GOMAD+SS pill.

I had a similar build. Start eating a lot of cheap fast food, with lots of calories. Also eat the occasional healthy item so you don't induce diabetes. I had a fast food burger and frys kick, gained enough weight to get some stretch marks. Then I worked that fat into some muscle. I still lost so much weight working out, but I'm still at a healthy BMI for my height (6'2).

Fasting solves your shitty metabolism, extra chad coconut oil helps with lean gains since its type of fat cannot be deposited in your body (its just energy basically)

Eat more eggs and meat (at least a dozen soft boiled eggs and a pound of red meat)

The ceiling is cause we can't be fucked fixing it. I'm pretty sure I'm not malnourished as within the past 8 hours I've had a plate of beef casserole with mashed potato, 1 bowl of 4 weetbix with cream and a home made cheeseburger.

I used to be like you thinking I had high metabolism and couldn't gain weight.

Then I actually started tracking calories and realized I was eating fuck all. Now that I've sorted my eating I've gained 10KG this year with a significant portion being muscle.

High metabolism doesn't stop you from gaining weight, you're simply not eating enough. If you're eating well in calorie surplus and still not gaining weight then you have a problem that you should talk to doctors about.

Beef casserole is no substitute for a nice steak.

Potatoes and carbs in general (pasta, rice, bread, etc) are working class food (cheap calories).

When I mean malnourished...i mean the food being eaten is low quality and general filler (bad fats and carbs).

You need prime cuts of meat. It's much leaner than lower quality fatty meats and contains greater nutritional value than the kinds of meat you have to bake/cook for long time to soften.
Potatoes are ok I guess, since you are skelly and need calories.

Ideally....you should be eating 95% lean beef. Turkey. Chicken. Fish. Loads of improved milk (has 50% more protein and 50% less sugar than normal milk). Protein supplements.

3-4k calories while working out and giving it all you got.
Everyday you should feel sore on a different part of your body.
After a while you wake up thinking "my lats...", "my pecs...", "my quads..." etc.
Study the human anatomy and musculature as much as you can so you can identify what you're working with.


Carbs will spike your insulin, turn to fat, and make you sleepy.
Avoid it unless burning it via cardio relatively close to when you consume it.

Young man, u may not know this but you are a neglect victim your parents and family are bad people to have u in this shape, with this mentality and in poverty at 19. Start lifting and eating lean protein, read plato, and start investing all your money in an index fund run by fidelity, vanguard, or schwab, or whatever the low cost hi rep broker ur country uses. If you take on debt and go to university u will fail and it is what your evil selfish parents want. Get a job and save u money. Stop renting, live somewhere free while u can or get roommates. not OP, but this is unironically really fucking hard, I tried my best recently to eat more because of anemia and I was legitimately on the verge of puking all day after hitting 1900cal (500cal more than my usual "big" days)

I know it's fucking stupid, but it's not just a meme, it's actually tough.

It is tough but you still have to fucking do it. I used to be 150 at 6'2, now I'm 210. I'm eating my post dinner food before bed right now when i just want to go to sleep cause I got work in the morning. The real work is done outside the gym. Nutrition is 75% of progress

If you can't eat your calories, drink them. I make one of the P.B. banana smoothies from pic related (except with 1/4 cup rolled oats instead of flax, and sub water for fresh coffee), drink half with breakfast and half with lunch. Tastes good and is pretty easy to get down, and you can pretty much add whatever you want to the recipe if you've got micros you wanna work in.

Even reading "post dinner food" is crazy for me, I skip breakfast basically every day and eat maybe twice throughout the day without snacking.
