Yes. It's miserable at first, but after you've done it a few times and know what to expect you get over it and wonder how you ever struggled. I've fasted and I've cut with a defecit both many times, and fasting is way easier, faster, and gives better results. If you want to maintain muscle, do one very high protein meal every 48 hours, right after lifting. Keep the workout just enough for maintenance. Do the big 5 lifts for like 2 sets of 3-5 reps and you shouldn't lose much muscle or strength, if any. You'll think you're losing more than you really are during the fats because you'll feel week, but after a week or two of eating and lifting normal you'll be fully back to normal. This is what works best for me anywhere. Experiment and find what works for you.
It’s painful for like 2 months, especially coming off a dirty bulk...but you do get used to it
was skinnyfat, not builtfat, and still have some work to do but regardless. feel weak as fuck (i am weak as fuck, obviously), but i feel so light it's fucking great. i won't let myself even get to 15% again, the true redpill was to leanbulk after highschool and never get fat
no way that's 12%, more like 15%.
Had a trainer measure me with calipers, 5 point test. at 181 lbs i was 13.9% (155 lb LBM). assuming minimal-to-no loss of LBM, 155 lean/175 total is 12.5%
>What was it like?
What do you mean? You eat below tdee and do cardio until you are lean.
Seconding this. I would even argue it looks above 15%.
Did you drink water with salt during the fasts, also how many calories did you consume in that one meal?
There are as many guys like this as there are guys insisting on banning these type of pics. This board is never gonna make it
Why would you assume minimal to no loss of LBM? Your blood vessels/volume are decreasing and those are both part of your LBM. Not to mention the likelihood that you lost no muscle is almost 0.
two reasons; one, following the 75%/25% fat/muscle loss "rule," i would have lost 1.5 pounds of LBM going from 181 to 175. I'd consider 1.5 lbs minimal. factoring that into BF% is 0.2%. two, i haven't lost any strength in that same timeframe. when you lose LBM, you lose strength right? if i haven't lost any strength, then i think it's safe to assume i haven't lost much, if any, LBM
> 75%/25% fat/muscle loss "rule,"
Really depends on how much fat you have to lose. Really lean people can apparently lose four times as much muscle as fat on a cut (and still end up with a lower bf%). I'm afraid I don't know what would be typical at a given body fat level though.
>when you lose LBM, you lose strength right?
No. LBM includes things other than muscle, such as bones, cartilage, organs, and blood. You can lose mass from muscles which aren't being fully trained while retaining or gaining mass in the muscles which are acting as the 'weak point' in each lift you do, resulting in apparent strength staying similar or increasing despite overall muscle loss. You can develop more efficient technique to compensate for less muscle and train your nervous system to activate the muscle you do have more effectively. All of these can hide the amount of muscle loss.
Get a Dexa scan. You're at 14-16% BF
How hard was it? How did you feel throughout the process? Was the last 5% or so than the first chunk? My god you people are genuinely autistic.
why is it girls with this bodytype make me want to cum inside? with skinnier girls, I want to cum on their face or tits, but these girls I could NEVER pull out of. Wtf is this?
>calipers
I cut from 84 kgs with intermittent keto fasting to 75kg as 186 cm tall guy. Gained 2 kg in water weight instantly after stopping the cut. I really hope I was sub 10% because if not then things are fucking impossible
