I’ve been lifting inconsistently for a few months but I started to to be more consistent with my diet and workout about 3 days ago. I’m 5’8 and 140. Ive started going to the gym 4 times a week.

Honestly I'd estimate you to be a lower bf% than myself( I'm still chubby but working on it) . But you should work on basics and focus on legs, core, chest and forearms. Improving those and losing some fat will help you get nice definitions and be the best you can be.
Also I just want to say that people in this thread have been supportive and helpful for once. I believe we will all make it if we stay consistent frens

I’ve been lifting for a few months but I’m talking SUPER inconsistent, like one day every 2 weeks sometimes. I’ve just stated recently going more frequently and consistently.

That being said if your goal is to look muscular then the only good part is your biceps so far. Everything else needs work and you still need to lose a bit of body fat.

What do you guys recommend I do? Cardio after every workout? Or just keep lifting weights and worry about cardio when I cut ? Also should I fast?

Nice arms, especially for being as inconsistent as you say. My anterior tilt was fixed by strengthening my lower back - might be the same for you.
Also do compounds at every work out.

at this point I would just continue lifting for a few more months while at maintenance calories to recomb. You have still enough fat to get noob gains in my opinion without having to go in a caloric surplus.
Do the main lifts like bench overhead press deadlift squat and pull ups + curls for the gurls
Also your core needs attention so add something like planks or situps or leg raises etc you know the drill.

Compounds are any free weight movements that uses several muscle groups at once
Deadlifts, OHP, Squats, Rows, Pullups
All of these activate your core, back and different parts of your arms/ legs and shoulders simultaneously

If you impose too much on your workouts you will get dissuaded from working out. Do cardio once you're finished with the lifting portion of the workout if you have time left for it. That or do cardio on the days you don't lift.
Compounds are such excercises where more than one muscle is trained simultaenously. For example, instead of doing tricep pushdowns you can do bench presses which target both your triceps and your chest.
Deadlift, a compund, targets primarily your lower back. That alone was enough for me.

OP here. My bad I’m actually 147 not 140, scale wasn’t working correctly.

How much cardio do you recommend? I’m not too great at it so should I start off small and gradually keep going? Also what should my general diet consist of?
