I'm somewhat taller than my friend, and what I do is normally rack it at his level, and lift from his level as well.
If your heights are very different, I guess the stronger person should rack it for the correct height for the other person once the weight is unloaded.
In the very worse case scenario (big height and strength difference), you could just unload all the weight, put at the right level, then load your weight.

Bench twice a week, first session do a heavy bench variation so 3 to 5 reps. Can be anything as long as you can go heavy. Second session bench 8 to 12 reps for your weak points so wide grip pause bench for you. 3 sets of 10 and add a set every week until 6 sets of 10 then go up in weight. For the heavy bench variation try week 1 normal bench 5x5 week 2 slingshot or band assisted bench 6 x 3, week 3 close grip 2x5 4x3. Always rotate benching on a 3 week basis so you never do the same thing every week but you do lifts frequently enough you stay good at them.
