we have two theories to answer the question, however we still cant be sure if there could be only two explanations
the first is that qt the big bang, there was a matter surplus, meaning more matter was created than anti matter, and when matter and anti matter annihilated each other, and the leftover surplus matter is all the planets and galaxies we see today
this explanation is quite weak however, because we know the universe is completely symmetrical and this explanation defies our current belief about the natural state of our universe
the second explanation is that the universe is built in a way that it prefers the preservation of matter, the destruction of anti matter or both
this means the nature anti-matter is in fact different than its matter countpart
