Standing still isn't that much better than sitting still.
But a with a standing desk you are more prone to walking around since you don't have to get up first.
I don't have one though, just parroting what I've heard.

Being standing all day long is as bad we sitting all day long.
The ideal is walking constantly because human were made to be in movement all the time.

Is there anywhere that sells them with a treadmill below? It looks like it would solve all problems.

I brought one a few months ago. I think it's good.

>human were made to be in movement all the time.
[citation needed]

Family members of mine that have to stand all day long the job have all developed varicose veins on their feet and their ankles hurt too.

And they're not fat at all

sitting all day will fuck you up
standing all day will fuck you up
walking all day will fuck you up

maybe sitting on one of those physio bouncy balls is best

Or just dont do the same thing all day?

for every hour I sit on my computer I walk for 15 min.

I sit in my car

yeah seriously. i get up every now and then and go for a short stroll. i also drink water frequently so have to go piss regularly.

threadmill is the golden ticket. So you can walk slowly while working.

Otherwise numerous studies showed sitting is better than standing all day. If you want a ghetto improvement get a gym ball as a chair. Don't sit on it all the time but use it often.

I stand up multiple times a day, have walking meetings, go to the coffee machine and bathroom on different floors, go to my colleagues' desks instead of chatting, run the stairs every time, some times jog around the block.
Now i'm taking ~40m breaks twice a day to use the bathroom of the local grocery store.
Honestly, i don't know how much effective time i spend on my desk. Fuck productivity.

walking desks are very bad for focus and absolutely awful ergonomically if you have to use a keyboard

these are more along the lines of good ideas for most, if you find a logical stopping point or youre stuck on something or you just realize its been a bit, get up and stretch and take a quick walk

Research shows that those sitting balls do more harm than good when sat on for extended periods. Just don't stay still all day.

>spending more than 30 min a day in front of a computer

enjoy being a s o i b o i

>Being standing all day long is as bad we sitting all day long.
sounds like you never spent much time at any kind of desk

Just fucking stand up every so often and walk around

based caveman

It wadfoumd to be pointless no benefit and actually harmful physically and productivity wise in long term

Lmao

it is mostly like another bullshit.

Ive done jobs where you stand all day in 1 spot. My feet are sore by the end of the day. I'd rather sit all day and not have sore feet.

actually, the "ideal" would probably be a combination of walking, laying down, sitting, standing, and running. Throw swimming in there too for good measure.

You dont stand all day idiot, it gives you th option. As someone with a desk job I love the choice to stand and work a few hrs a day if I want

Boomer tier meme for sedentary people who try to cope.

if you are an average /fitizen/ you don't need this.

I can walk for hours with no problems, but standing in one place for longer than 20 minutes makes my back and feet hurt like fuck
Is this normal?

I'd rather not fuck up my back senpai

yes
