Its a newbie program made to build strength. Its even in the name "STARTER strength". You're meant to use this program to get into fitness and then once you've gained some strength, make a proper program with whatever asthetic/powerlifting/bloatmaxing goal that you have in mind.
It's meant to make you strong, it's not body building. The general idea for skeles is to get strong since they haven't picked up a weight their whole lives. Once strong, then they can start body building. Since they can rep heavy weight a lot now.
It doesn't build upper back strength, neither bicep strength, nor calf strength, nor front core strength. It essentially strengthens only half of your body.
It's also shit for endurance.
It trains you in only one plane of motion.
No single leg training.
It's absolute dogshit.
Someone with good genetics can look good on whatever program he does, as long as he is consistent.

That way, your body gets accustomed to lifting, noob gains still give you max strength and you won't injure yourself. Basically, you get a good fitness level and then you can look into specialized routines.

Strength gains aren't either/or. There is no magical cut-off where you suddenly train endurance. You still get max strength gains when doing 100 reps - small ones, sure, but nobody is advising you to do 3x100.
Also the added blood flow will help strengthen tendons and ligaments.

Unfortunately most, if not all, beginners think "eating clean" means boiled chicken and brown rice which means they will not gain weight because 3500 kcal of boiled chicken and brown rice weighs over 3 kilos. To such a quantity of food no beginner is adapted.

I know OP might be a shit stirrer, but i honestly agree. I used to fall for the 3x5 meme, i got stronger, but i realized i could have achieved a better looking body while STILL building strength (albeit a little slower) with basic bodybuilding style training in the hypertrophy range. While also saving my back and knees from injury.
Basically, the golden era guys had it right, building muscle is the most important thing, and if you want to progress to powerlifting eventually, it will be easier because of your mass and the volume your body is accustomed to.

If you want to build strength, doing triples and singles and shit will help the most but that kills the beginner so 3x5 is a good alternative then just hit 2 sets of 10-12 after to destroy that exhausted muscle

Starting Strength is an absolutely shite beginner routine. Nothing about its programming makes the best routine to get strong. In fact, the programming is quite bad. Rippetoe is a literal cuck and a fat fetishist with no knowledge of strength training. His solution to every issue is 'lmao just get fat like a real man'.
Rippetoe has not produced ONE (1!) elite athlete. Not in powerlifting, not in football. SS doesn't even really make you strong. If you actually followed a good beginner routine that realises that strength comes from programming you would be stronger pound for pound and you would look much better. Here is the big shocker for all the feeders: eating way above your tdee doesn't aid any process in the body. Not muscle building, not cns recovery. If you gain fat, it means you're consuming calories your body has NOT a SINGLE use for.

I did SS for the timeframe in the pic, all I did was add a 6 min ab workout everyday. I dunno I thought it was pretty good especially for getting comfortable with Deadlifts and Squats.

Lifts aren’t impressive but when I stopped I was 165 bench, 185 squat, 225 deadlift (hardest for me to get the movement right), and 85 ohp. All of those are 3x5
Add it. Just add a few accessories for each muscle group in general. Accessories are nothing to be afraid of. You don't even have to go overboard, but just make sure to have a few exercises for each muscle group

I think it's fine to start out with SS, as long as you move on when it stops working and don't try to extend it by constantly resetting, "eating through the sticking point" and increasing rest times above 5 minutes.
Maybe do some cardio as well if you're not already doing some in your spare time, so your work capacity isn't complete shit once it's time for intermediate programming.

Workouts will take a long time and you'll need to increase the number of sets you do once you're an intermediate, so it's better to get in the habit of doing shorter rest periods. Also there doesn't seem to be any benefit to resting more than 5 minutes.
