How tf do I keep running?

I'm trying to run two miles a day to cut down on my body fat , but today I was only at 0.2 miles or something when I just gave up and quit. Whenever I run I always quit early.

What do you guys do during cardio? Last time I got to 1.1 and left. I'm not even fat- I'm 130 lbs and 5'5.

you are out of form
when I started running I barely lasted 5-10 minutes
eat right and keep at it you'll make it everyone will

Get a couch to 5k app for your phone and stick with the program, I've run progressively longer every workoit

Stop being a little bitch

Cardio seems quite easy to progress with imo. Even me when was always bottom 2 in PE in school ended up being able to do a 5k once. Just keep trying to add a minute each time and good motivational music is a must

>stick with the program
This.
I downloaded a beginners .pdf for a half marathon. I could only do 1.5 miles before completely dying, now I'm doing 7.6 miles once a week and 3.3 miles twice a week.

It's similar progression to lifting weights. Do what you can and time it. Next time you try, go a bit further, time it. Keep doing that.

Other anons might disagree but I find I need at the very least one rest day between runs. If you try and push yourself to your max with cardio every day you're going to fail and quit.

Does running actually lower bf? Almost every runner I know is skinny fat but doesn’t weigh much, when I ran I was skinny low bf but I was skinny either way, the only way to get low bf I imagine is just cutting and lifting. please someone correct me if I’m wrong because I’ll start running again if I am lol
t. used to run 6 miles a day, 12 Saturday and sundays

You dont start by running. You start jogging and if you hve stamina, build into a run.
You should be able to jog more than 200m

Not a Jow Forumsfag and just passing through, but years ago I quit smoking & became a running addict.
>Began by jogging a few hundred metres down a trail? a disused former railway track so pretty gentle inclines.
>Only goal was 'a little longer, a bit further'
>20 minutes & about 3 miles or so came quicker than you'd think
>Settled into 5 miles in 30 minutes (cross country) in no more than a few months
>Plateaued there, second wind after 15/20 minutes
>Spent a gorillion dollars on Adidas climacool shit
>Went out every second day, a spot of swimming & mountain bike too.
I eventually became disheartened that I couldn't beat 6min miles, lit a cig & smoked a bong.
My former runners high became an agonising chore, so I chose the coffee & fags, like a cunt.

The way up was awesome though, if you actually get off your ass & find a routine, day on day off was best for me, then it's pretty easy. Just don't fuck yourself in the head because of the diminishing returns.

calorie deficit will lower your bodyfat; running will help to create a calorie deficit but it's still all dependent on your diet

it’s CICO running will add to calories out

Sums it up

Not unless you do lots of miles, but you cannot do that unless you want to risk injury. Running utilizes the glycogen already in your muscles, and it can hold up to 2 hours of it if you are doing your recovery pace. You are better off fixing your diet if you want to lose fat instead of run.

You only get injured if you have shit form. Serious overuse injuries dont really happen unless you're a retard and dont listen to your body.

If you can't run a full mile, stop trying to run as far as you can at once. Jog a block/light post section/a few driveways, whatever short distance. Then walk the same and jog again. The change of pace and shorter busts will help you cover more total ground each session.

Losing fat is 60% diet 40% cardio. Well thats the easiest way to do it at least

Theory of mine based on no direct study: lots of people have fucked up posture and fucked up gaits.
If someone really really hates running it might not be that running sucks arse, not completely, they might have a forward head bouncing around, everted feet flopping about etc. which makes it feel much worse than it should.

So I figured out this morning I'm getting bored of C25K and am not pushing myself as hard as I could. I'm thinking about taking a week and doing speed intervals. Is this a good approach? How did you stop being bored of running?

You're running too fast OP. Don't sprint. Pick a pace you can keep up for at least 20 minutes and you'll see you can run.

t. running a marathon in 3 months

Identify the problem

You're out of form build slowly you can't suddenly expect your muscles and body to be able to do so something they aren't used to. Don't do something above your bodys capabilities or you'll get injured

And if even this is too hard there is no shame in starting slower
