You could always become a sissy for the real men. You’re half way there already since you post anime

obliques will at least let you acheive fridge mode rather than the hourglass look.
I have the same problem along with wide set ribs and it does look a little dodgy but you can still look good.

Which exercises are good for this?

cut before giving up entirely, you'll be surprised

dilate.

if you can do windshield wipers they are really good
twist situps on a decline bench or twisting crunches (or bicycle crunches are good)
Look up scooby's video on how to do them properly and look up some anatomical pics of your abs so you can know what you are contracting and how to do it.
I also do leg raises where I twist from side to side.

Are you dyel? If so, you really have no clue what you’re gonna look like with some muscle on you. Bigger lats and obliques will completely change your upper body shape
Pic related, can also do this on the ground by lying on your back and holding onto something. Also russian twists

how old are you ?

i had a hourglass figure at 16-17

now at 22 my bone structure is pretty masculine despite having a more muscular waist and upperbody

whats your height and weight?

Post body

as you can see they run across your center if you can get down contracting those muscles you can get them to bear the weight of your exercise better.
also cable crunches can easily be adapted with a side-twist to get bigger blocky obliques (is also helpful for when you cant hold youself stable enough to do windshield wipers.

Thank you very much boys

not op

actually im and what helped me get ride of hourglass figure and achieve the fridge mode with a v tapper was

lots of

OHP(contracting abs)
barbell curls (contracting abs)
bent over rows
pull ups
deadlifts
sprints

i call your cable crunshes bullshit

Im the guy and I do most of those exercises but my biggest problem is not having a defined abdomen and also having soft and "flabby" love handles that make my hip to waist ratio very weird. Currently on week 2 of a cut and have lost a few kgs but I'm hoping to get rid of the love handles.

I also (for some reason) seem to have very big legs and I barely do anything for my legs (big thighs) which give me an even more feminine look.

Im
guy
I kind of assume people are doing all of those other exercises already cable crunches if performed well are another good alternative if you are trying to hit the obliques extra hard.

oh well, i had the hourglass figure but was naturally ripped, i also have naturally muscular, big legs, what i would recomend to you, is focus on upper body only lifts...and see what happens dont squat, do sprints and deadlifts instead

maybe, but sprinting gave me a oblique and abs soreness i never felt before, also i believe doing OHP and bent over rows when doing before you turn 20 can expand your torax and clavicles because of the bone preassure

Do less leg training and continue cutting, it’ll get better. This is assuming you actually have good leg strength, if not then do continue training them. Use symmetricstrength.com to see if you are proportional strength wise, that’s usually a pretty good indicator.
Anyways, you’ll be surprised at how much your silhouette changes over time, and how much narrower your hips are actually compared to what you think they are (yes, even if you feel the bone below the fat, you are still overestimating your hip width).
Everything you described is a result of a sedentary lifestyle with poor diet, it will change if you keep working at it, so don’t worry too much

idk about that man but I already have really wide shoulders and ribs so I just focus on trying to build up the obliques.
The good thing about cable crunches is you can lift more weight and have to focus less on stability. In my experience getting abs to look big and well defined you gotta do some heavy work on them from time to time

Can defo say that the sedentary part of it is true. Spent my first 15 years on this planet sitting in my room, having a shitty diet and playing video games all day long.

it will look better but exercise isnt going to do much to change the way your hips sit especially if op is over 20.
all you can do is work around it

Of course lifting won’t change your bone structure much except for increasing bone density if you are under 25, but the point I was making is that you usually don’t really know how wide your hips are if you have always been fat. I used to think I had super wide hips as well, thought I felt where the bones were etc just like everyone thinks, but after cutting they turned out to be pretty normal after all. If you’re lean and still have wide hips its a different issue of course
If you started working out at 15 that’s still pretty good bro. As for the fat distribution, there has been research showing that continuous pressure on an area will give preferred fat deposition to that area. In other words, if you sit around all day you’ll get a fatter ass from that, genetics and all aside

Exclusively do lat pull downs and rows for upper body day for 2 months

Started at 17 but yeah, Im sure that has played a big role.

true man, I have no idea how fat OP is personally even when down to 10% bf I have those child bearing hips
How fat are you? You got to get lean to really understand what you are working with.

Dont wanna post body but to put it in perspective. Im 185cm (6'1) and ~82kg (180lbs). Im (in my own eyes) kind of skinnyfat with muscle definition in my upper body (arms, shoulders, chest, back).

My shoulders and back are wide but so are my hip bones.

post body u nerd if you are 6'2 180 and not that buff you are probably pretty podgy (no offense)
people here will poke fun at you but they will also give advice based on the pics.

>no amount of lifting will bring a smile to her a face
Zero hope but I'll pushing and pulling.
