Try to avoid the usual intellectual shite that gets posted in here. We've all read it, we've all pretended they are great, it's time to post some mindless fiction or skill learning books that help motivate you or learn skills that help you live a fit lifestyle.

>intellectual shite
Caesar's Commentaries are better than any pulpy shit you'll find. the man was the most chad being in human history

Conan desu

currently going through the Lovecraft-Collection.

Am gonna read Endymion first because hyperion already kicked my ability feel wonderous about the world into the rear and i want to feel that shit again. After that tho, i can jump into Conan, but i don't know which are actually worth it(could read more important stuff) and in what order. Is there a /lit/fographic ?

You can't tell from the cover but he's a really big guy it comes into play a lot in the book how physically stronk he is.

For me it's Chansons de Geste and late medieval romances that read like action movies. For some reason they're a lot more compelling than most modern supermarket fiction novels to me.

i would probably read this, if just for the history of how old this story is. Like a window to a different world

read this a few months ago, it was a great book

It's pretty great, it's the oldest story I've ever read that feels like it has a modern structure, yet the way people behave feels almost alien. Song of Roland is probably the best bang for your buck in /his/lit/ fiction though it's like 20 pages of exposition and then it's saracens and franks hitting each other for the rest of the story.

>then it's saracens and franks hitting each other for the rest of the story.
well, that's a selling point right there. Been thinking about getting Beowulf in a modern version instead of the direct translation, because i am not autistic.

Atleast once a year, i read starship troopers, so this stuff is atleast in context

the mine part was kino
most of those books were scams made for a quick buck but holy shit this one was so fun to read

Uhm. Try Joe Abercrombie? They're written pretty well. Not a lot of titties. But a lot of barbarian, violence and not giving a shit. Plus, Logan Nine Fingers is absolutely based.

that cover looks so comfy
