Oh wow, this pic really motivates me to start cutting instead of bulking. There are countless of Jow Forumsizens like me on here who would probably look even better than the guy in his final form, due to us having more muscle mass, but we keep making excuses to never really cut down to that fat %. We keep memeing ourselves into bulking.

People here, especially the younger ones, should focus on dropping weight first. I'm surprised that guy doesn't have visible loose skin. You have a better chance of making a similar transformation if you get it out of the way while your skin isn't shit.

Fasting will help. Our body has a natural mechanism to clean up useless protein (autophagy), but it only really starts happening if you havent eaten anything for about 3 days. There are no long term scientific studies on this yet, but the theory is there and makes a lot of sense.

Ye, IF probably also causes some autophagy to happen, but not nearly as much as extended, several day fasts. I personally lost 38kg years back, and i had some, not much, but some loose skin. I had that loose skins for years, up untill the point that i started to incorporate fasting into my life. I mainly do IF, with an occasional ~38 hour fast. I never even do the extendedn 3 or more day fasts, yet my loose skin has really tightened up. I know it might be a coincidence, some people might say, "oh thats just the skin eventually tightening after many years", and ye, that might be true. But it remains a fact that my loose skin remained ever bit as loose for atleast 4 years up untill the very point that i started fasting, thats where it suddenly started to become tighter. So i'm really starting to get the impression that it has something to do with it.

Thats not true at all. Autophagy levels after several days of fasting are through the fucking roof compared to anything else, including exercise. Its hard to argue with these fact. The reason why stuff like this isnt mainstream yet is because in science, you need actual studies that 'prove' that people who have fasted regularly actually lost more loose skin than people who didnt fast, and needless to say these studies don't exist not will they be done any time soon. But the mechanical evidence is there. We know what fasting does to autophagy, and we know what autophagy does to 'useless protein' like loose skin.

i haven't felt actual hunger in years. i get to work through my lunch and leave early. you should see the fat neckbears I work with that are on the verge of tears if lunch is put off for 20 minutes for a meeting.

Most sources say that autophagy really starts to get going at the 3 day marker. Theres one 'expert' who claims you really need to go up to 7 to 9 days for the full benefits.

Noone really knows since there arent any real studies on the subject yet and its very new. So far its just the theory that we have and a couple of case experiences of people reporting to have done it with amazing results.

Not feeling hunger is a sign of disease (called anorexia in the literature)
Also normal weight people don't have a disturbed relationship to food so they don't consider it a problem to experience hunger, it's simply a part of being alive just like being horny or needing to take a shit

What makes you think you can't work out while fasting? You just shouldn't stress enough to break a sweat and that's only true for dryfasts. Normal fasts encourage exercise
