T-bar row

do them with an EZ-curl bar. It won't feel as weird and you'll know if you went far enough because of the big bend in the center of the bar (it'll touch your chest or stomach)....just worked it today and theres no better row exercise than bent over rows

Just do chin-ups. They accomplish exactly the same thing but with a longer range of motion.

Could always try chest supported rows. My gym has a free weight machine already set up, or you could also look up how to set up an actual bench in a rack. Helps to stop back rounding, rising, and cheating for the most part. As someone else said, T bars are a good option too.
Honestly, I've barely ever done strict bent over rows, and I'm bigger and stronger than most people. Just don't get too bad with the form to the point you doing almost shrugs.

Yates row from pins is my favorite. No strain on the low back and gets your lats burning.
Or just do seated cable rows, you can't really fuck those up.
