This seems like a good thread for my minor question

I'm a weakling. I'm 6' and until a couple months ago, I was only 135 lbs. I was able to, for the first time in my life, deliberately put on weight and now I'm 146~148lbs. But my upper body is pathetically weak. I have no biceps, triceps pecs, traps or whatever to speak of. I've practiced push ups for a bit. At first, I could feel my collarbone area be put under extreme stress as I did the motions. I don't think my joints/ligaments were fully developed at all. I used to have an abnormal range of movement in my shoulders, being able to touch very low on my back by reaching around my head. However, since starting push ups, I've lost that range of motion and now I don't feel much stress on my shoulder/collarbone area when I do push ups.

Anyway, my push up count is very low and I find it difficult to keep motivation without a solid workout plan. Do anyone have a regimen for a beginner? I would like to be able to do 40 push ups in a row, right now I can only manage 10 in a row.

Aim for 11 in a row.

Or after 10 proper pushups, continue doing pushups on your knees, or by leaning against a table. These two variations are easier than regular pushups.

You can also try doing very few (2-3) pushups in a set, but do them really slow (10-15 sec each) and focus on correcting your form.
This should help strengthen your posture, and then all things are possible.
