This is what I've been doing in the gym the last 5 years (find a flaw, protip: you can't):
>Day A: CHEST, BICEPS, SHOULDERS >Day B: BACK, TRICEPS, LEGS >Whenever I feel like it/have time to spare: ABS, LOWER BACK >Go to gym 4 or 5 times a week, always start the week with Day A, in the 5th day I do what I feel like doing that day
>For every muscle group I literally pick 4 or 5 exercises that I like and that really make me feel that specific muscle working >For every exercise do like 6 reps max on each set (always 4 or 5 sets) >From time to time try a new excercise >Don't even care if my routine is perfect, just do the exercises I like the way I like (always with proper form)
>Most important: I have a great time going to the gym, doesn't feel like a chore
Yeah, never took the gym too serious, never accompanied it with a proper diet, never followed a rigorous routine. I don't even know if what I'm doing is correct to build muscle, get lean or idk. Also I just stop going or go with much les frecuency sometimes
However I'm very happy with the results, you should have known me before I started going
What should I do? In which parts of my body should I work more? Any advice?
OP here. It's okay, I know that in 5 years you can do a lot better than me if you do things right. I just never went all in with the gym. I'm here looking for feedback or advice, so every opinion counts for me
>claims flawless routine >posts that body that took 5 years

you look good bro, no homo. A body like that is aesthetic and looks healthy, will get the girls going. Dont let the mad incels here get to you, everyone that isnt a mass monster or shredded to the max gets ridiculed over here. Only thing i could recommend is trying a harder bulk next winter and see where it leads to

I don’t know why you wouldn’t have an AxBxC with C dedicated to strictly legs. Doing a 5x5 or a 3x8 back squat and calling it done isn’t enough volume for your entire lower body. It needs an entire day m8 >6’ 180 18 years old >lifting for 2 1/2 years
you dont look too bad, give it another 2.5 years with more focus around lats, trapz & forearms then lose weight, you would look impressive if you keep it up with the same amount of development in your previous 2.5

doesnt matter if you train for 20 years if you dont eat properly or have enough quality sleep

JESUS CHRIST THAT'S BRUTAL >doing pushing muscles with a pulling one on the same day >doing push, pull and legs all on the same day

Since this is a “shit on my routine” thread I guess I’d let some wise user’s shit on mine
Day A: Upper hypertrophy Day B: Lower + Abs & face-pulls Day C: Arms and shoulders (no chest or back) Day D: same as B Day E: Upper strength (low rep bench and rows) Day F: same as B
My stats: 6’ 185, 155 OHP, 235 bench, 275 squat, 315 RDL (all are for 3 sets of 8)

>shitty 2 day bodybuilding split >doesn't progressive overload and focus on compounds >goes by feel of excercises but doesn't even go past 6 reps so fails at bodybuilding
Some how you've took the weak points from bodybuilding and powerlifting programs and made a new shittier program worse than both that achieves neither.
Just sounds like you're working out till kill time not really training hard or pushing yourself. Do you want a medal for this?
Carson Ramirez
Yes, you've described it perfectly. I mean I do spend time at the gym. I don't know if I'm willing to change my diet for the gym, but while at the gym I could do a different routine or something to get the most of it. Tbh idk what I should change. I haven't read about it either, I know I could just look it up. "The best routine is the one you're willing to follow", I have a good time when I go to the gym, I've done some exercises before that I didn't like, and I always found excuses to not go that day.
I don't want a medal, I don't deserve one or anything. But I like to read what you guys have to say
