Not really. Cutting at the end of the day is about calories in/calories out. Every single fad diet out there that has helped people lose weight had the person eating at a calorie deficit, even if they didn't specifically count their calories. Pic related is what I've been eating like on a daily basis for my cut. I'm 5'6, 153 pounds right now for reference.
